I grimace every brutal foul CP games. that marcelo tackle was so cynical. Bummer he’s coming off now.

Puli off played well but a little less impact on the second half.

On a yellow, in the rain being hacked by defenders...it's the right sub.

Tuchel has proven himself, but hard for me to see subbing Pulisic as anything but a mistake right now

Only way I can explain it is some sort of load management to avoid his injuries.

He’s an obvious sub, taking a beating and need fresh legs with fixture congestion plus on a yellow. Don’t understand anyone freaking out.

Would like to see Pulisic play a bit longer but he may not have had a whole lot more in the tank left anyways. Their best offensive player today for sure.

Would disagree with this. He's basically pulled the Madrid defense onto him, whenever he's gotten the ball - and has been effective enough on the ball to draw a handful of fouls.

Plus a 1-1 draw is fine for Chelsea I'd imagine the defense oriented TT is already seeing it in his mind as a draw.

And that right there is why I wouldn't have subbed Pulisic....he'd have done better and more dangerous than Ziyech

he didn’t look pissed by the sub wonder if it was communicated beforehand. this looks like an opportunity to get a second yellow for marcelo

The impact Pulisic made in the 2nd half, in conjunction with the rest of the game, was compelling enough fouls w/ his take-ons and fighting for loose balls to where he should have gotten a Madrid player taken off. But the ref wasn't complying. Didn't want to impact a big game, so impacted a big game.

Zissou subs on Odorozola. Never heard of the guy before. Sounds like a cheese.

Did they say Asensio is playing left back? I know they took Marcelo off.

Agreed. This is becoming a rock fight. He's the one they can afford to lose the least at the moment. Let the other guys gut this one out.

Not bad for an American on the road against Real Madrid in the CL semis. :)

I get the feeling everybody is so happy with the 1-1 score line they don't see any reason to change it.
