    Saturday
    24th April 2021
    Kick off: 17:30 GMT

4th placed team Vs. the 5th placed team
with Spurs and the Scousers right behind us

this is a big game and 3 points is crucial and then we play Real Madrid AWAY on Tooseday night

West Ham have only lost three games at home all season turning the London Stadium into a fortress without fans in attendance. The Hammers have also only lost one of their last six home matches against Chelsea and have won four times in that period.

    • Thiago Silva should return to the starting XI on Saturday after being rested against Brighton
    • Cesar Azpilicueta, N'Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell were also given the night off and should return to the side here.
    • Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic are most likely in competition for one spot in attack for Chelsea
    • Kepa surprisingly started against Brighton in midweek but Edouard Mendy will expect to return between the sticks here.

Looking at the games to come. We have a tough run. Liverpool have maybe the easiest run-in and would be favourites to get that much coveted 4th spot. The Scousers also don't have any Champions League football OR an FA Cup final to worry about either.

Last Tuesday against Brighton we failed to earn a corner at home for the first time since Man United in November 2009.

This is going to be a brutal close to the season. We will have to win (not draw) some difficult games.

I’m expecting to see some of the regulars back but will be interesting to see how that looks with Real coming up. Thankfully Fulham is sandwiched between but we can’t drop points we have to take 3 from them.

How would you all feel if we finish the season with this status:
    - 5th place finish in the league
    - CL finalists
    - FA Cup winners

Given where we were, borderline miraculous and ecstatic.

Given where we are, disappointed to miss out on top 4.

Anyone else a little anxious about this game? Last 6 have been a wash.

I'd have to say we the season was essentially a failure - we cannot afford to miss CL next season. It's too important financially. A trophy would make it an easier L to take overall though..

    Nervous about tomorrow

Massive game today. I'm cautiously optimistic that our players will show up for the fight.

After looking so good against Palace and so p*ss poor against Brighton I guess the result will depend on which Chelsea turns up today! I have to admit if I had to put money on a winner here it would be on the 'ammers however I wouldn't be surprised if we pull something out the bag either.

I still get mad when I think about this one-Jonny Evans doing a flying karate kick that breaks Drogba’s ribs and Drogba gets a yellow for his troubles.

Anyways, well overdue for a win at West Ham and it couldn’t come at a better time. No Werner or Jorginho, please.

Yep. I still get mad about Harry Maguire "stretching his leg" on Batsman. Or Harry Maguire strangling Azpilucueta in the box. God, I just hate United :)

Jorghino was really sussed out and stifled against Brighton. We couldn't get the ball wide, even with wingers/wingbacks and hence we never even got a cross in or a corner or anything really. The Toosh needs to switch up the formation sometimes imho.

We have some tough games coming up. Liverpool drew today, 95th minute equaliser, happy, happy, joy, joy, but the scousers have some really "easy" games ahead of them by comparison to us.

    Sunday 2nd May
    Manchester United Liverpool

    Saturday 8th May
    Liverpool Southampton

    Tuesday 11th May
    West Bromwich Albion Liverpool

    Saturday 15th May
    Burnley Liverpool

    Sunday 23rd May
    Liverpool Crystal Palace

Interesting lineup, are we playing 433 or is Dave playing wing back?

I think he has to be playing wing back. The others all play pure CB.

Or maybe he has a single job to stay on their most powerful weapon for 90 minutes, lingard

Tammy on the bench is progress. Hope we get to see him for 25+ minutes.

Resting James for Real Madrid? Some players need rest and others never seem to. It is just the way of things. Mount, like Lampard before him, never needs to rest much. Would be good to see Tammy at some point.

Werner should be testing the goalie from that position.

When faced with a choice of forward or backward pass we are going backwards

    More of that please, Mason.

Him and Pulisic need to just go for these 1:1s
