🚨 JUST IN: A lot of major clubs have asked UEFA to issue sanctions to all the 12 clubs involved with the Super League #mufc #mujournal [@RMCsport]— United Journal (@theutdjournal) April 21, 2021 This comes off the back of reports that some Prem clubs outside of the 'Big 6' are firmly in favor of them being sanctioned in some way, form or fashion but look to be divided on how to go about it. 🗣"The mood from the 14 other clubs is to punish individuals not the 6 clubs." @SkyKaveh says the Premier League are trying to find out what rules have been broken by the 'big 6' in trying to join the 'European Super League' pic.twitter.com/BHQKjWfxIQ— Football Daily (@footballdaily) April 21, 2021
they will get a shitload back in his supposed astronomical wages though right? but yes big screw up regardless
Transfer embargo? Lmao. Ban them all from CL/EL for the next 5 years. That's ll do for a transfer embargo + financial punishment. No player of class will want to sign for them
Mwahaha just saw a "report" I have to share Arsenal broke away from the Super League to form their own league by themselves. Bookies have them down to finish in second place
Finally able to watch a football match and actually give a damn about it, unlike the last 2 days. Curious to see how Spurs does post Mourinho under Mason (in terms of any faint hopes for the League Cup final this weekend vs City). Soton really should have been in the lead already: great double save from Lloris.
The irony in that choice of word is not lost but he's not wrong. With all the talent they have going forward alone, this is a team that really should be more adventurous and playing with more freedom. Always going to be snuffed out though by the football terrorist that Mourinho is...
As a fan, I like the individual punishments, and not the club as a whole punishment. Definitely the way to go, simply because I also enjoy a good schadenfreude.
what i am interested in is any potential transfers between these big clubs. what happens if/when: Real Madrid try to get Mbappé from Paris? Barça tries to get Neymar from Paris? Barça tries to get Martínez from Inter? United try for Varane from Madrid? Spurs try to make Bale permanent? anyone goes for Kane? any other potential transfer between etc. and even anyone tries to get Haaland or Sancho from Dortmund will grudges be held? or pound of flesh approach?
UEFA punishing the clubs would likely backfire spectacularly, they need to understand that they are not the good guys here.
Not so veiled shot at Mourinho from Bale. He's correct though. #thfc forward @GarethBale11: "It is not about me. I do not care about me. I just want to help Tottenham. We will fight until the end. We needed to be on the front foot more. We have great players and need to attack more." [Sky Sports]— Hotspur Related (@HotspurRelated) April 21, 2021
John Stones yellow changed to straight red after VAR Check. Definitely the right decision, was wreckless late and high. VAR finally gets one right
That's an awful tackle. Pep complaining when on the replay he can see him in the background with his hands on his head, he knows it was bad.
Looking at the title of this vid, I figured it would be a bunch of back-patting and Hooraying each other that they went and stopped this. I was very surprised when I actually watched it. These guys said things we've been saying on here - the fans didn't really stop it, they'll try again, more needs done at various levels, etc. Color me impressed - especially since these are official supporters groups officials.
Good news for England, I suppose: they will have referee representation at the Euros coming up. Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor have been selected to the 18 men group of refs working the tournament.
Enough is enough #GlazersOut pic.twitter.com/iaic9STrvy— sancho fc (@sanchoofc) April 21, 2021 🗞 Woodward organised a Zoom call with five or six players, appearing alongside Murtough. Harry Maguire spoke, although his tone was not confrontational. Luke Shaw was inquisitive, and Bruno Fernandes is said to have made his points in characteristic fashion.
