I thought he trained with the national team but couldn't join because he didn't have his Salvadoran passport. Now he does have it.

I remember this too. Now I hope Amando Moreno follows suit. He’s not gonna get a cap from Mexico or USA anytime soon.

    Took him long enough though.

That was a long time ago though like 2 years ago if my mind serves me right, it doesn’t take that long especially when his dad is a Salvadoran National.

Moreno plays in the USL but I wouldn’t mind giving him a chance at the NT.

I wonder if Christian Martinez will get called up to train with the team. He's been pretty stable in the Costa Rican league. I just don't know how good he is and if he's getting any minutes with his club.

LAFC has moved on from Vermeer as their keeper. This news makes Tomas Romero their number 2 keeper which will give him plenty of experience as a rookie in MLS. happy to have a Salvadoran GK finally in this League that will have some minutes. Last year LAFC alternated quite a bit between their top two keepers so hopefully that continues.

Darwin Ceren and Eric Calvillo faced off as Houston Dynamo defeated San Jose 2-1.

Ceren came on at the 67th minute. Calvillo did not play.

22-year old Salvadoran-American forward, Walmer Martinez of Hartford Athletic (USL) is the latest addition as he is undergoing the process to represent La Selecta. Welcome aboard!

Tomas Romero of LAFC has been loaned out to USL club Las Vegas Lights

Gilbert Fuentes of San Jose Earthquakes has been loaned out to USL club Austin Bold. Since 2018, he has only made 3 appearances with Earthquakes.

Allexon Saravia, formerly of Loudoun United, appears to be without a club at the moment.

Crazy to me that a dude with those type of numbers and pedigree has never been mentioned before I only found out about him this year, someone contact Hugo about this guy because he is NT material.

Tons of young guys in the USL currently, Hugo will likely try cap tie/call all of them if he is interested in Amando Moreno.

It might be controversial if he gives preference to dual nationals/ players abroad but the NT needs a face lift and a Generation change.

It really sucks to think that Joshua Perez for the second time joined a 3rd Division team that could get promoted to 2nd Division and may not be able to stay due to low participation.

I hope that he personally has a strong showing at the Gold Cup because he has a lot of talent and it could land him somewhere else.

If it means ES starts playing better, then I could care less if the team is made up of USMNT rejects.

No different to what other minnow nations such as Algeria, Phillipines, Curaçao, and East Timor etc are already doing.

Be careful not every USL player is that good. But obviously there's exceptions.

At least in our case we have brought Guatemalan-American USL players to our domestic league and they're just average to below average and tend to struggle to adapt.

I think they've learned from the past when we had a lot of players in the USL and NASL. I think they're just trying to keep their options open and test players out in national team camp call ups to choose the best from.
