Yeah, that the people leading the superliga are Florentino, Agnelli and Glazer should tell you all you need to know.

I think the Super League idea is basically dead now that the Premier League Clubs have withdrawn.

The federation should requested the league end early so Rueda can call mini camps for the NT

he has been our coach for how long? Has he gone to games? What is he doing?

Colombia has had very high death and contagion numbers during this week and the vaccine distribution process is sub-par, and as many other countries we are underperforming (less than 5% of population vaccinated). Brazil is also hitting pandemic highs in deaths, and their native strain seems to be deadlier than what you get in Europe or the USA.

The question is how are they still planning to have any match without conditions improving.

    UNOPULAR OPINION.

Inst bad idea.........at least they dont have to return inmediatly to europe...

Europe with their qualifiers, leagues and champions also have continues.....depending months or week, with worse numbers of south america..........or longers lockdowns......

If the events wont be with public, i dont see a reason to postpone actually.................

Matches were palyed before vaccination process in the world..........

About Copa America: i dont undertand why to do withput public.......but understand that will pay a lot of to federations that have lost a lot of money in pandemic.

The issue for me is that having so many games in about 45 days involve a lot of traveling with no isolation/quarantine. If organizers would adjust the tournament and make them into bubbles, I would not oppose the idea, but the way they are scheduled, means that players and staff will be traveling every 3-4 days to a different country/city.

Take Brazil for example: After some of its players play the UCL final in Istanbul on May 29th, they go back to Brazil in June 4th, then go to Asunción (8th), Medellin(14th), Cali (18th), Barranquilla (21st)and Bogotá (28th), and if they advance to the semifinals and final is possible they have to travel to Argentina and back to Colombia.

At this point, knowing how bad things are, CONMEBOL should be considering doing as UEFA did for last UCL and have teams play in just a few venues with limited travel, and possibly fewer matches. Or just postpone/cancel the whole thing.

That makes sense, Pep. The problem is the Copa America. If you already have the teams there just do a bubble Qualifier tournament as you describe playing out the fixtures remaining over a few weeks and give the players July back to rest...

Conmebol could have sold those rights (a play in mini league is exciting, new, and safe!) for same or more as the meaningless Copa that countries are unlikely to send their best to.

Isn’t the Euro going to played in 11 different countries? If they can play in 11 countries then we can play in 2.

I think that between qualifiers and copa there will be 16+ cities involved. Both tournaments seem risky in present conditions, but the vaccination rate in Europe is at around 25%, while several (most?) countries in South America, including Argentina and Colombia, are below 10%.

The bubble ucl and european league was made only to finish the ucl 2019-2020....

Then and as you know they travel between countries.........the same in libertadores and sudamericana......and have worked well.

Situatuon of pandemic wont get better or worse if they allow teams to travel between infected countries.....but maybe some local actors of those cities can get profits....stadium, hotels, logistic companies...t

Copa america is shorter than a month....

Yeah i dont like the idea of the cup without public......

But at the same time i dont see a reason to prohibit it....
