I mean, as much as I hate to say it, I don't think it'd be all that farfetched for Porto to be considered as one of the 15, especially if you're removing clubs like PSG, Bayern and Dortmund from the equation. Surely they rank in and around there in Europe. So I'm inclined to believe PdC in this instance. What a mess this is, and the timing is just sinister.
The money is good but it's a weird "illegal" competition that would get you barred from UEFA. FCP would still be the bottom feeder to the big dogs but would make more money I guess?? The Portuguese league would probably lose Benfica next as clubs would be looking for that quick cash. Can you imagine our clubs with that kind of cash? Yeah I agree, no way a Portuguese team is rejecting $425 million just to enter. I think what he got were maybe some preliminary contacts but I doubt he got a formal invitation.
