    I’m very pleasantly surprised by that. Anyone that turns down the invitation deserves respect

    I’m very very skeptical that PdC was approached and said no.

    There were very strong rumours last night that Porto were going to be one of the 3 extra clubs and it would make sense to invite one of the big Portuguese clubs.

    Glad they’ve taken a stand

    I mean, as much as I hate to say it, I don't think it'd be all that farfetched for Porto to be considered as one of the 15, especially if you're removing clubs like PSG, Bayern and Dortmund from the equation. Surely they rank in and around there in Europe. So I'm inclined to believe PdC in this instance.

    What a mess this is, and the timing is just sinister.

    Why do you think that?

    Would be very hard for any Portuguese club to say no to 3 billion.

    The money is good but it's a weird "illegal" competition that would get you barred from UEFA. FCP would still be the bottom feeder to the big dogs but would make more money I guess?? The Portuguese league would probably lose Benfica next as clubs would be looking for that quick cash. Can you imagine our clubs with that kind of cash? :ROFLMAO:

    I do worry that who ever takes over for PDC will jump all over this since tradition seems to take a back seat to quick cash these days.

    Looks like there will be a motion put forward in the next 24 hours to expel these clubs from European competitions. Wonder if this goes through, would Porto-Dortmund play a semi final to play PSG in the final?

    Yeah I agree, no way a Portuguese team is rejecting $425 million just to enter.

    I think what he got were maybe some preliminary contacts but I doubt he got a formal invitation.

    Frankly, I just hope I can see Sporting win the title but after this year I'm not sure I'll be as invested in football anymore.

    Lmao apparently the 12 clubs are meeting to disband the Super League. What a clown show. Chelsea and City pulling out.

    Especially when the two most corrupt, manipulative, and greedy people in the history of Portuguese soccer are saying it.

    Starting XI

    Adán;
    Gonçalo Inácio, Coates, Matheus Reis;
    Porro, João Palhinha, João Mário, Nuno Mendes;
    Pote, Tiago Tomás, Paulinho

    Nothing less than a win here. Especially since we're facing Petit, he'll want to take our virginity (Yes he actually said that this week)

    Why has Nuno Santos been relegated to the bench? He was one of our better finishers. Makes ZERO sense.

    I thought we bought Paulinho because TT couldn't be relied on. So why is he still getting minutes?

    Petit is such a Lampiao cuck. Dude literally has conceded 30+ goals against Benfica but plays SCP like it's the game of his life.
