Ok, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. One day, on the train out of Glasgow I met a fella with a silver spoon hung round his neck. He was a professional whisky taster... Some folks know how to choose a career. I don't mind a Springbank 18 with a few drops of water or a nice old Balvenie. Or a Talisker 10 for everyday sipping. Or Oban (or Caol!) if you feel like drinking a bit of smoke with your dram. Can we get this thread back to chocolate!
nah I hear ya on this. About a decade ago when craft brews started booming people tried stuff as many hops as humanly possible into a beer, and people seemed to decide that was the deciding factor on a good IPA or not. I think the Hazy craze is in response to that. I like em though so I don’t mind it - except when they taste too watery. Actuually what I find a is nice compromise is a dry hopped ale. You sometimes get a nice sweeter finish with the kick of a traditional IPA.
Steffen has a shout for most underrated Yank on the planet. He plays for what might be the best team on the planet, and he’s considered legit by what the majority would consider the best manager on the planet. That Pep is this trusting with him speaks much of Zack
Can people take the pretentious talk about fancy alcoholic drinks elsewhere? And I thought the chocolate talk was bad.
Looks like Mount/Havertz/CP. City have KDB, Gungogan, Foden, Sterling, and Silva. It's not like Chelsea isn't going to need to score any goals.
They're only a few months apart in age but in this pic Mount looks high school and Christian looks like he's drinking over a failed marriage.
I also love the Caribbean Cask 14 from Balvenie ... rivals the Lagavulin 16 in taste though clearly less peaty....
in regards to your last question - why? if we can go with Scotch discussions then I am all in .... but when you ask my wife whether she prefers the aroma of chocolate (no matter which) or a peaty whisky .... for her it is a no brainer ....
ok back to football https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/14676806/chelsea-tammy-abraham-manchester-city-fa-cup/ seems like Abraham is just not going to be in Tuchel's plans.
"Chelsea will be without two of their star players, with midfielder Mateo Kovacic sidelined through a hamstring strain sustained in training, and central defender Andreas Christensen, who has a muscle injury. Some additional news ahead of the game was that striker Tammy Abraham was set to be left out of the Chelsea squad - an exclusion that reportedly left Chelsea players 'shocked', according to various reports." https://www.si.com/soccer/mancheste...uled-out-for-man-city-clash-ahead-of-kick-off
Sucks no kovacic. That partnership with Jorginho has been really great and kante at this point isn’t moving the ball forward the way kovacic does, which conversely might be mean more focus on pulisic to do that work
that British sports media is always stirring things up, they are kind of like our regular media. Abraham hasn’t played a lot under Tuchel, he’s really an afterthought anymore. So if he is left off the squad, not the worse case scenario. I think Chelsea fans think Hudson-Odoi is the player that is controversially being unfavored like we thought with Pulisic three weeks ago. Lot of football to still be played and it’s always those Abrahams or Hudson-Odoi’s who might be called upon in the eighty fifth minute to make a difference in a cup semifinal or final.
Yeah, not sure why it would be shocking that a player who 'never' plays - at least not currently - would be left out.
On the bench. Ziyech with a rare start. Team news is in! 🔢📝#FACup #CHEMCI pic.twitter.com/c5RiOGW4Se— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) April 17, 2021
Hope steffen and man city now dominate and Pulisic comes in and scores a late, unstoppable goal and city win 3-1
I may be the only one, but I’m ok with him Not starting. I think he will get on at some point, and he will be very dangerous. I’d rather he get rested for the league and especially for CL
probably not bad that he gets a rest after the physicality of the Porto game. yet if Tuchel needs a second half spark (super sub) he knows he can leverage that and keep him ready for the next EPL match. West Ham lost today and with a game in hand Chelsea can jump them into 4th. Makes great sense that he starts on the bench.
Havertz and Pulisic will probably come on to change the shape of the game sometime in the sixtieth minute. For now it’s sit in, play possession ball, and create chances up the flank with James and chillwell. When legs get tired Tuchel will put in Pulisic and Havertz. For the more touch and go attack. I see Pep is holding on to some of his shape changers as well.
chelsea would love a trophy but they need champions league next year and would rather take their shot at winning champions league this year imo
Considering the final would be against a team they'll be favored against, this is a really important game. I think the potential of extra time is why Pulisic is starting on the bench.
