My thoughts entirely! Germany always come out smelling like roses and bettering England so it's best not to laugh at them.

If we have to laugh at someone, laugh at scotland because they'll always fail ;)

I think Germany struggling proved they needed him in their squad this time. It never looked like a decision that was reliant on what team is ‘better’ at the point of making the decision anyway.

No need for the hostility really. He's an 18-year-old who made a perfectly reasonable choice.

Ademipo Odubeko West Ham is a player to maybe look out for, born in Ireland , but relocated to England at the age of 12 I think, follows England on Instagram and hasn’t played for Ireland for a few years.

Seems to of shunned Ireland for now, think he’s exploring his eligibility to England, one to keep an eye on for sure.

Anyone know what’s going on with Fabio Carvalho? Is he actually eligible for us? Looks like he’s having a great season in the 23s.

I think the next time we see him internationally, it won’t be in an England shirt. He clearly hasn’t been considered by the coaches this season and he’s having a great season. Wonder why ?

Given that the u21 coach has left today I wouldn’t be so sure about that

what part of the England U21 manager has left the job are you struggling with? What happened under Bothroyd means nothing going forward.

Oh and btw most of the attackers playing for the U21s this season have been playing first team football, something this lad hasn't been

Lol who said I was talking about u21 football ? This isn’t about just u21s football. He hasn’t been called up to ANY relevant age group camp this season, despite his form. There’s clearly a reason for that, like it or not.

    Comprehension next time, please

What form, he’s playing u23 football not first team, players in this age group sides tend to be playing some first team football

exactly, if he was so good we should be scared of losing him he would be getting first team football either with Fulham or be on loan.

From the most recent U19 camp (Carvalho's age group) there were only 4 players who have been playing regular senior football. The rest are all playing youth football & Carvalho can claim to be just as in form as the majority of them.

Thank you very much, for some sense. There’s clearly a reason why he has not been involved with at least his age group this season and I think it’s down to him not being eligible, but that remains to be seen.
