I decided option 2. Just do not want to deal with pandemic choices. Love the schedule though. Would prefer very few games in early spring and late fall.
Obviously, I'm in the same boat as you for a lot of reasons (location, increased responsibilities, etc.). That said, I'm going with option 1. I figure I'll be attending fewer games this year, but will be bringing bigger crowds and making a whole day out of the games. Bridgeview's only benefit compared to SF was the distance. I really don't mind it taking me twice as long to get home, especially if I'm going to spend the whole day downtown and can take public transit 90% of the way home.
Just got a babysitter and booked my tickets! In 206, not quite as good as my real seats, but not bad considering.
were you able to get tix because you're a STH who chose Option 1? also, can anyone share a link to the single-game ticket prices? all I see are the season ticket and 10-game package prices. [edit: texted a ticket rep and they said they don't even have single-game pricing info yet; will be released with the single-game ticket availability; seems like not a great practice, imo] as I went Option 2 on season tickets, I'm curious about doing a 10-game package, but it's unclear the cost savings of going that route
I put down a deposit on two partial season tickets a while back, was contacted by a rep a month ago who told me they’d reach out when the schedule was released, and haven’t heard anything since. Was surprised to see they’re releasing tix to the general public for the opener when I haven’t heard a word about seat selection, games available, number of games, anything. Now I have to go and reach out to someone to give them more of my money which is not something I enjoy having to do
My apologies that you have not heard from someone on our staff. That should not be the case, so I want to make sure we remedy that problem ASAP. If you feel comfortable, can you please send me a quick email at mernst@chicagofirefc.com so that I can provide you with the necessary info and check to make sure that we have your correct contact info.
Mike, appreciate you answering the question and I'd like to say my interactions with the ticket and seat reps have all been very positive, but what's up with not even having the price of single-game tickets be public before they go on sale? Seems like important information when trying to evaluate the value of the 10-pack.
Much appreciated. Reached out to my rep and heard back almost immediately, with a text and a call. All set with my two seat 10 pack for the season and happy to know I’ll be at the home opener. Thanks for the prompt response here!
Ticket booth open at soldier field? Almost cheaper to take the Metra round trip than pay $12 in ticket master fees. Or just see what's available on the way?
Doesn’t look like they’ve sold through even the limited capacity seats they made available. Oh well, more room for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Very few non-club seats left. Ticketmaster is deceiving, because it defaults to including resale. W/ Verified Resale Tickets W/O
Yeah, I'm aware and removed the resale before commenting- the fact that there's any left at all is kind of disappointing. I get it, we're in the middle of a pandemic and the team has to force people into choosing groups of tickets in set numbers rather than just allowing them purchase the exact number of tickets they want, but still, it's like, 7,000 tickets to sell only and they couldn't quite do that. I
Covid’s the biggest factor, but it doesn’t help we suck, and there is no one in the roster anyone has heard of.
Hey @Mike Ernst - Is there a gameday guide available? I was bumming around the fire website and couldn't find anything. Just wondering about parking, arrival times, is the United Club open?, etc. Thanks!
We will be sending a "Know Before You Go" email to all ticket holders tomorrow. That message will have details about the items that you mentioned above. A few sneak peeks - Soldier Field is opening the parking lots 2 hours before games while there are pandemic-related restrictions. The gates to the stadium will open 90 minutes before the match. Every ticket holder will have to enter through a specific gate and receive a time for entry (that is not stringent). The gate to enter is on your digital ticket. Fans attempting to enter the wrong gate will be redirected to the correct location. The United Club will be open on Saturday. The amenities and capacity will be reduced per state guidelines. I strongly recommend that everyone download the Chicago Fire FC mobile app, access your tickets via the View Tickets option, and put your tickets in your mobile wallet. Feel free to DM me if you are having issues.
We will not have the box office open for selling tickets on Saturday. This will be true for as long as pandemic-related restrictions remained in place. If we still have tickets left on Saturday, fans at the stadium will be directed to buy online using QR code signs.
We (like most US pro sports teams) raise and lower the cost of our single-game tickets via dynamic pricing. That means that price is subject to change on a regular basis. Therefore, we don't post a single-game price. Rest assured, the single-game price is always above the season ticket, partial plan or group rates.
