So is the French game still scheduled to go on? From what I’ve been reading their main Lyon club got 6 current players tested positive. They’ve put the whole team in isolation which should include Macario(dunno if this an 14 day quarantine). France’s prime minister has recently put the whole country under ‘red flag’ alert(sounds kinda serious)

 

I'm not sure about best in the world either. I will say, I think Mewis is a better attacking mid than Horan and she is faster than Horan. I like Horan's ability to set players up though. This again points to the obvious... The USA has a wealth of talent that is problematic in a way. Who do you leave out and when.

Based on her performance in Lyon's last game, it looks like Macario is beginning to adjust to her new teammates on the field, as well as Lyon's style of play. In the last game both Mallard and Macario started and played the full 90 minutes. While Mallard is faster and more familiar with the play of the team then Macario, Macario is far more effective with her passing skills, creating scoring opportunities, not only for herself, but for others as well. With her first goal and assist, Lyon is starting to get a taste of what she is capable of doing. This was by far Macario's best game since joining the team. Wouldn't be at all suprised to see her and Mallard in the starting lineup against PSG in the in the UWCL game.

 

Good to hear. Obvious that Macario, baring some off the cliff drop off, is destined to the USWNT at some point.
