To keep up with the times, La Liga needs to change its TOTW formation to 3-4-3.

Messi was overheard talking about retirement after realizing his legacy faltered in comparison to this glorious game.

I'm going to start referring to footballers as asoccerers and ask people things like, oh, are you on an asoccer team?

#24 is having strange nightmares of baguettes crossing him up while furiously backpedaling.

Sergino, the LB, is pretty darn good, too. Learning that as he sliced and sliced Jamaica for a sweet goal for the USMNT. Eat more Baguettes boy!

Look... I know changing a thread title when said player hasn't moved to a new club, isn't a thing nor should be it, but...... I think an exception should be considered.

For all the negativity on Koeman earlier in the season he’s really made this team look good, and Dest as of late.

I know there was some luck with injuries but even when we thought Dest’s performances were fairly boring/mediocre over and over again Koeman still stuck with Dest.

Don’t think this is anything relevatory but Dest would be starting for Holland today.

    grateful he chose the US

    Holland is not playing today...

However, I hope Dakota qualifies for the soccer Olympics tomorrow.

Is Dest talented enough to start for Friesland?

In a Heerenveen heart-beat. The Oranje are notoriously anti-Frysk. I don't think there is a legit Frysk defender in the entire set-up. Hateboer is from Groningen so the greater Frysk peoples could claim him, and Dumfries played at 'veen - and literally has "fries" in his name so... But I'd start Dest over either one of them. Probably play Hatebeor on the right and let Dest be an introverted left-winger. Truthfully, tho, the fine people of the north have not produced a lot of outstanding defensive talent of late, I am sad to report.

We have better baguette butter, as well. Dest is just an awesome oozy smoothy. (Title is still not secure, however; Gio Reyna may win it back if Dest relaxes too much).

Now in Frysk those are fighting words. FrieslandCampina is preparing a lawsuit as I type.

How many provinces have 1, much less 2, Dest-level RBs? Any?

Well, much as I hate to admit it, if any one does it's North Holland. They, of course, have the actual Dest, so that's 1 by definition.

Other top-level North Holland raised or North Holland playing FB/WBs:
Owen Wijndal - Zaandam raised, Cheese-Market player.
Blind isn't really a LB, but he does player there sometimes - North Holland
AR's teammie Kenny Tete, late of Ajax and Lyon is an Amsterdammer.
Mazraoui was originally from S. Holland but now that he's an Ajaxer... depends on how you count. Klaiber, the other Ajax RB is from Utrecht area, but of course is in North Holland now...
If we just count current location, Tagliafico might be in the convo.
    fwiw.
