Just saw DC get 250k in GAM for Acosta's rights. That is good business. I was not a huge fan of Acosta; he had a lot of down games for DC. I wish him the best and DC really screwed up their initial deal to sell him but at least DC is picking up some value from that mess that was his time after Rooney left.
Here in Cincy they were reporting that it was $250k in GAM in 2021 and next years payment was based somehow on performance. I'm wondering if it is up to an additional $300k of GAM.
So with us getting 250k and some undetermined amount next year, how good does this deal look now when NJRB got $100k + up to $300k in incentives for some prospect from City. Lucho is a proven quantity and a pretty good one with the right pieces around him and presumably enough money and other talent around him to keep him focused and engaged. I'd never heard of this kid Chris Gloster who spent the last 4 years in lower levels of the Erdivise and regional Bundesliga.
I am fine with it. Gloster does not require an intl slot, and, also, we're not d*cks. After the PSG fiasco, no matter who was at fault, we'd be pretty cruel to stand in his way. It's not like he killed it in Liga MX. Hopefully he performs just well enough to earn us the rest of that sweet, sweet T/Gam.
He's also demonstrated that he can deliver 10g/20a with a good team around him. Make no mistake, first chance I have, I'd start a rumor that someone like Sevilla or Atalanta want him
