Canada Soccer announces 2020 Canadian Championship is postponed. TFC will be the 2021 Canadian representative to the CCL. The 2020 Canadian Championship will still be held but later this year when fans can attend the home and home series.
What, have you already shifted your time forward for spring? 2021 doesn't start here until the snow melts.
We kid, of course, but there's a "Great American Road" in Montana/Wyoming called the Beartooth Highway. In good years it's open for 5 months and sometimes gets shut down in June or July for too much snow at its higher peaks. Absolutely fantastic drive though, and if you start at the Red Lodge, Montana location it deposits you right at an entrance to Yellowstone.
We drove it when I was a kid. Until I moved to Colorado it was the highest point I had been with feet still on the ground.
Home and home? I thought the compromise was Forge hosting the one-off in exchange for TFC getting the CCL berth.
Same. However, some of y'all might have similar fathers in that they do random shit on vacation. Like real Clark Griswold shenanigans. My father stopped on the side of said highway to check out the Bison with a good amount of other dads and their families. Then he decided to hop the barbwire fence to "Let's get a closer look son" and that's when things got dicey as two bulls went at it to see who was gonna run the cows in the herd! We wandered this close. HA!
The original plan for the Canadian Championship was a two legged final but this one will be a single game. It was never officially stated that Forge get to host as a compromise for TFC going to the CCL but that's the logical conclusion. It would also seem to be fair.
Do you mean that the compromise was never officially stated? 'cause the hosting is set in stone: Tim Hortons Field to host 2020 Canadian Championship Final🗞: https://t.co/q8G1st9TOt#ForgeFC | #CanPL pic.twitter.com/UISBBnWd7x— Forge FC (@ForgeFCHamilton) March 11, 2021
Yes. I meant that the compromise was never officially stated. We just assume it was a quid pro quo. The game is locked in, as you say.
No, we have both seasons - winter and July. I post because, at my house, the last of the snow melted this weekend.
foxsports.com Fox will probably make a late decision over whether to also broadcast them on FS1 or FS2.

Who's going to take up the MLS mantle of 'losing to a team we shouldn't in the early rounds' this year? I would say Toronto, but they're expected to lose to Leon I reckon.
Anyone except Toronto who loses to their first round opponent. The Mexican teams are generally better than the MLS teams (although upsets happen). The MLS teams should beat everyone else (although upsets happen).
In 2020, MLS teams went 4 for 5 on advancement from the first round. That included LAFC advancing over Leon. Seattle went out on penalties against Olimpia of Honduras. For the tournament MLS teams were 3-3 on advancement against Mexican teams but all three wins were by LAFC.
