Havertz starts in Tuchel's first game in charge at Chelsea. Werner (still) benched

Havertz missed a chance in the closing mins which could've won them the game

But looking at the positives, for Tuchel, this then is a chance to start fresh with Havertz.

“Since I arrived, the only thing that kept him from making a big impact is his injury, nothing else. I see a committed guy, I see a guy who made a brave decision to move abroad at a young age and to go out of his comfort zone and accept a big challenge in a big team, in the biggest league.

“I see a totally clear guy who is totally aware of that, full of talent, unlimited talent and I see a play who will have a big impact in Chelsea, I’m absolutely convinced because the mix gives me that feeling that he can have a big role in this club and he is absolutely determined to fulfil his role.”

“He is a unique player. It’s not so clear where he needs to settle. Does he need to settle on one special position? Or is he kind of a hybrid player? Today, I would say he’s in between a nine and a 10, something in between.

“He’s very comfortable in the box; he’s very comfortable in high positions, he’s very good at offensive headers, he has good timing to arrive in the box, good finishing, good composure in the box, around the box, and very comfortable in high positions so between nine and 10.”

a lot of us have said that we are only into Havertz as CF for dfb if he's played there permently at club level.

Bayer only played him CF when Volland was injured and Alario was shit and ineffective was never anything but temp.

Havertz was outstanding tonight against Everton, easily his best performance in a Chelsea shirt, guys I've been very impressed by Tuchel, I reckon hes a god send for Chelsea and more importantly kai and Timo. If this improvement continues under Tuchel till end of season then were going to have Timo and Kai in peak condition mentaly and technically for the Euros.

I rate Kai, but I am not convinced by Werner, he has let us fans down time again and again ever since the World Cup 2018. I think Bayern didn’t show any interest in him for good reasons even when he was top scorer in germany

Regarding Werner if he can bring consistency to his game then hes a massive asset to have as he has pace to burn, Chelsea late of late his pace is being utilised perfectly to bring space to others, Kai was top class last night.

Kai's position is not really there in the EPL teams. KdB, Bruno and other midfielders get their numbers but also hustle off the ball to help the team. I doubt Kai can do both.

He should go to other leagues to try his luck. His attacking game is taking a hit.

Kai's position is hybrid 9 and 10. There is no need for him to press and defense as much as KDB or Bruno. What he needs is to not loose ball, stay in pocket, finished well. According to Tuchel, He will get more games time as False 9 and hopefully turn to real 9 when his gameplay and physical is more ready.

What good about Kai is his calmness and finishing. Sorry to say even Werner or Mount do not have this traits. This is why he is more suited to be real 9. Now is all about potential but if he trained properly with good coaching he can become our next Lewa. Exactly same style with Lewa when he started his career with Dortmund.

Still early days as Tuchel is going through a testing phase with Havertz at that position. To keep expectations grounded, Lewy would be a stretch right now considering how he's been one of the top strikers in the world within the past decade or so. Maybe potential for a Van Persie type transformation. But that would also be high accolades. Time will tell how he develops.

Hope he can make that next stage in development then come to Bayern to replace Lewandowski in 2025

I think 9 is his best position, he could be lethal in the box with variety of tricks , also he's Good in the air, his prime asset is hes a second quicker between his ears than most, over time he will develop physically.
