Haven't heard by way of updates for Pellistri: he appears to be settling reasonably well in Spain. Pellistri was excellent at the weekend #mufc https://t.co/hC3ZVVhc9N— Man United News (@ManUtdMEN) March 2, 2021 Pellistri: “I am very happy [at Alaves] despite the rapid changes, faster than I imagined." #mufc are set to release Paul Woolston, Arnau Puigmal, Max Taylor and Connor Stanley in the summer. They will not sign new contracts [men]— utdreport Academy (@utdreportAcad) March 4, 2021 Puigmal is definitely the biggest loss here for me. Not surprising though: there have been talk for some time now that a return back to Spain appeared to be in the cards for him. His recent injury that put him on the shelf for a few weeks didn't help matters either. Also, if we're being realistic about things, his path to the first team looked pretty murky. Next team he'll go to will get a quality youngster with potential though and hope he lands on his feet (same goes for all the others as well).
perhaps. i was really considering Lingard, the two Pereiras and Dalot. i put Chong in with the other not for sales (Mengi/Garner/Pellistri) we still have the immovable Jones as well
Tahith currently has 4 assists (in 3 league matches appearances) and 1 goal coming from a Belgian cup game. Things appear to be working out better in Brugge than they were with Bremen: good to see.
Wow, even better. Obviously a different standard as far as competition, but still a step up from the kids. I didn't see a whole lot of him at Bremen and maybe he had fallen out of favour, but I didn't expect him to be starting every game for them. I guess we wanted more PT but I wasn't mad. He got about 6 or 7 90s (total) pt in half a season which is way more than he'd have got here. I suppose at a lower level, playing more often will help more. Regardless, I'm happy to see him get PT. @Ruud v.Nistelrooy 10 That makes sense. Hopefully Jesse is worth a decent fee. I hold no hope for Andreas. He's played 400 minutes and at 25, he's probably auditioning for a role in a lesser league or with a lesser team. Maybe a lower half team in Spain. Either way, like you say, no fee.
Russell Martin (manager de MK Dons) : "Ethan [Laird] est de mieux en mieux, il écoute et est focalisé sur les détails. Il est frustré de ne pas avoir obtenu plus de passes décisives et de buts, car il en est parfaitement capable." #MUFC #LoanWatch pic.twitter.com/YnJqjaVAvf— Manchester United (@MUnitedFR) March 10, 2021 Russell Martin, MK Dons manager on Laird: "Ethan is getting better and better. He listens and is focused on the details. He's frustrated to not have more assists or scored more goals because he's perfectly able to do so." That is what we want to hear. He's done pretty well so far overall apparently and the biggest point is that he looks to be keeping himself injury free. which has been the main issue plaguing him so far in his young career. Still have pretty high hopes for him and even if the next season (or perhaps even 2) are him out on loan, he's someone we need to keep an eye on for sure.
NIcely taken goal from McNeill to secure United's U18s a 2-0 win in the Youth Cup. ⚽ This excellent turn and finish from Charlie McNeill has doubled our #FAYouthCup lead v Salford! ⬇#MUFC #MUAcademy— Manchester United (@ManUtd) March 10, 2021
Let BW be AWB for another season then bring Laird back. After that we decide whether to move BW to the left again or sell him. I mean we only signed Telles for 2 years so it's not crazy. Though a season on loan playing exclusively at LB might be good for him.
I'd rather bring someone in who can actually give AWB some kind of push. As mentioned in the transfer thread, someone like Trippier looks to be an excellent solution. Perhaps, with a bit of luck, he can do for AWB what Telles has for Shaw. Would rather send Williams somewhere on loan, where he can get a chance at playing on a regular basis. That's what he needs as a young player and he won't be getting that at United. Still have the option to keep or sell him down the line, but at least we give him a genuine chance to develop in the process.
Looks like he's starting to find his feet with Derby. Rooney: "Teden [Mengi] was excellent [against Barnsley]. He’s obviously young, but he’s started three games for us now. The three games were tough, but it shows the trust I have in him in dealing with physical strikers." [dcfc]— utdreport Academy (@utdreportAcad) March 10, 2021
Good stuff I feel like we should be sending U18 players on loan there as we have a coach that is connected to us and we can trust them. Maybe next season we send McNiel there instead of with the U23s. We should also us Malmo for a kind of summer ball league for young players or players returning from injury.
That's what I'd do also based on what I've seen from him at Milan (smart move fiscally) but it seems pretty obvious that as of now, Ole simply does not rate him. Perhaps Dalot can change his mind in the coming 2gms against us in the EL (looks set to start in both). But the smart money still suggest we'll cash in on him this summer. TBD...
Charlie McNeill on prospect of #mufc U18s drawing Liverpool in next round of FA Youth Cup to MUTV: 'It'd be great to win that game, also to rub it in Liverpool's face as well.'— Samuel Luckhurst (@samuelluckhurst) March 10, 2021
Apparently, the club has made McNeill apologize for his comment above from yesterday... Really saw it as banter on his part, nothing more. Don't believe he meant to be implicitly disrespectful to Pool...
Im assuming that in combination with his celebration vs City and IG post, the club feel he maybe doing too much.
Yes teaching young players how to not give the oppo bulletin board material. "Its just another game" etc etc. I for one, like to see a youth player fired up to beat the Scouse
Emeran is having himself a game. We've demolished Sunderland. To be fair, we have 3 kids who should not be playing at this level: McNeil, Emeran and Hoogewerf. Emeran's off the ball movement and pace are neat, he's got a decent left foot too. Probably not ready for a loan though, he's too frail. Sunderland getting stopmed. 6-0 in with 20 minutes left to play but it was1-0 at the half.
Badge kissing against Man City and baiting Liverpool... Introducing Charlie McNeill and the Manchester United Class of 2021 - Manchester Evening News Still maintain personally that McNeill really hasn't done anything wrong in either case. He's a person with a passionate character and a bit of a 'shithouse' and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. Understand having a quiet word with him to insure that type of behavior does not go over the line but that's as far as it should go. Perfectly understandable (and expected) that you want the club to instill good values in their kids, but certainly don't want to snuff their personalities out either... 16 goals in 15gms with the U18s this season btw: amazing.
Wish we'd get more regular updates on Pellistri. Seems to be doing ok though. Facundo Pellistri attempted [6] and completed [4] more take-ons than any other player on the pitch vs. Cádiz earlier today.Good to see him getting some minutes under his belt in La Liga. 💪 pic.twitter.com/8mTmDRVTwF— Statman Dave (@StatmanDave) March 13, 2021 Levitt finally made his debut today as well with Istra, coming off the bench.
