I said that since Benfica is 16 points behind you guys, it does not make sense for LFV to do this at this point in time as appose to earlier when we were only a few points behind you guys. AND at no point did I say that Porto was not involved. As a matter of fact they stand most to gain from this. I dont think Benfica would want to do Porto a favor. So no Im not "********ing Naive"

The answer to this is obvious, but let's even take that out of consideration, remove Sporting from the equation and this is absolutely pathetic for the commission to do this. It's very 'eat their own' and to potentially hamstring an up coming Portuguese coach's career like this just shows the smallness and pettiness of Soccer in Portugal It should be embarrassing to any soccer fan regardless of allegiance.

If Braga and SCP keep winning, Porto and SLB miss out on direct CL qualification, and as a result, a shit ton of price money just for direct qualification. Sporting hasn't won' a league title in 20 years, and it's not just because of themselves. Clearly, the power that be are attempting to destabilize Sporting to prevent them from winning the league. Whether Benfica is 16 points behind is irrelevant. Can't be that hard to understand

 

You are 100% correct and is what makes our league 3rd rate laughing stock of a league. That being said, at this point it is just an allegations and most allegations just die.

 

CL money is a good point to bring up especially this year with how much lost revenue without ticket sales. A CL spot is THAT much more valuable this year, truly, and this really is a desperation move

Benfica's direct rival is SCP. They've been able to marginalize SCP for nearly two decades (2016 is a clear example of how close we got just to be robbed in crucial games). Why would SLB give a shit about FCP when we are their direct rivals? They would much rather have FCP win than SCP, that's a fact. Porto won the Tetra and Penta without any opposition from Benfica or bullshit like we are seeing with the National Football Coaches Association. Now that Sporting is dominating, you can clearly see how desperate the Lampaio-driven league and it's constituents are becoming.

Also, trying to destabilize Sporting has less to do with helping Porto than it does with harming SCP. Porto is still behind Braga, so if anything, they're helping Braga and harming us. Again, think about the big picture. If you don't see it, then you don't understand how this garbage ass league works.
