    Another clean sheet for Emi.

Gaich with his first goal! And it was the first game he started.

It is a shame that the games are pushed back but as noted above, our players aren’t at their best right now. Not the worst thing in the world.

    Great goal by Tucu!

It appears they're considering moving the postponed March WCQs to June, prior to the start of Copa America. We already have 2 qualifier matches scheduled for that month, so we may be facing arguably the best 4 South American teams (Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Chile) in the days leading up to CA. Could help build momentum and/or discover weaknesses in our team before the tournament, although on the flip side some bad results could have adverse effects at the wrong time and the accumulation of so many matches could also lead to injuries.

The other two alternatives being considered by CONMEBOL are either having three-game rounds in June and September, or just postponing these games until February (practically an entire year). We'll see...

I would have just gone on with the original scheduling.. The European teams would have lost certain players for 10 days because of quarantining rules imposed by their national governments? Too damn bad... that's what rosters are for. These guys are acting like they don't have any alternatives available to them in their squad... do you know how many times South American sides have had to play without their stars because they were on international duty? Give me a ********ing break...

    Well said, loco.

I wish some of the big names would’ve stepped up and said we are going. Messi, Suarez, Neymar(Not sure if he’s fit) and so on. What were the clubs going to do about it? “Refuse to release them” is something that always pisses me off with some of these European clubs. They don’t want them to ever leave. But the European players can freely travel for their Mickey Mouse qualifiers.

    I agree completely.

Any potential coronavirus risks are avoided by the 10 day quarantine requirement.

I'm suprised Conmebol didn't appear to resist FIFA's request more.

SA NTs now face a 7 month lay off which could have consequences for the development of the teams in view of the next WC.

The whole c19 crap is more about politics than anything else.

The politicians / goverment enjoying the time of their life with power to control people's life to a degree that never seen before.

Today's star footballers acts like celebrity not an athlete. Someone like Diego would have lashes out againts Fifa in front media .

This whole mess started because the big European clubs made a fuss due to the mandatory quarantine period after traveling to SA. For example, in England it was Klopp that first made a stink about this because 3 of his starters are Brazilians and he (Klopp) wouldn't be able to use them for one game when they got back. I sort of get it, that the clubs spend big money on these guys and they really need them specially this time of the year. . . but I remember when FIFA would tell the clubs to go f'd themselves if they tried to mess with qualifying dates. . . and, maybe Liverpool can win a game here-and-there if they are going to be the first to complain

Indeed. I missed the match but looking at the highlights and the praise from the media, he had another strong showing.

Glad to see Juve eliminated. Anytime they would fall short they put the blame on Dybala. Can’t do it this time.

They won’t win the CL and probably won’t win the league. I guess Dybala is pretty important, eh?

To top it all, that Porto FK went in because CR literally jumped while being a wall.

I hope Juventus are happy with their decision to alienate Dybala in order to build the team around Ronaldo. That decision has certainly paid off handsomely. Ajax, Lyon, and now Porto. Those are the kind of results you get when you spend 105 million on the “GOAT”.

Oh, also, Marchesin was fantastic today.

Marchesin was amazing today. He is a quality GK and he could do great things for the NT. We have really good choices at GK now; Marchesin, Emi M, Armani, Musso, Marchesin and Andrada.

List for upcoming U23 friendlies vs Japan.

Something positive we can deduct from this list: there is Lisandro Martinez, Nehuen Perez and Balerdi but no Senesi or Romero despite both being eligible. Huge indicator that they were going to be called by Scaloni for the senior team taking the place of Perez and Balerdi.

Other notable U23s not called for these friendlies: Facundo Medina, Nahuel Molina, Alexis MacAllister, Nicolas Capaldo, Fausto Vera, Alan Velasco, Thiago Almada, Julian Alvarez, Lautaro Martinez.

Loved it when Marchesin took out CRon with a crunching tackle.

Messi with a peach of a goal yesterday, a shame about the penalty (not that Barca would've completed the comeback anyway).

Watched the whole Inter v Atalanta game and Romero goes from strength to strength. His pace and aggressiveness makes him different to the other slow cloggers we usually play at centre back. Should be a certain starter if he keeps developing.

Messi was the only Barca player that scored in both legs... He can miss twice, its still not his fault if his teammates just couldnt put any decent finishing.

Messi actually has 5 goals in just 6 CL appearence this season. No player can drag this current Barca team further than Messi already did.

There goes his great goal for the season... and then disappears for the remainder of the year.

Lautaro scored Inter's winner , another superb header. He's really improving his aerial threat.

As a matter of fact, he already disappeared (sent off) later in that game.
