I was not talking about Titi. Olsen had a say but Kasper/Owners pull the strings. I repeat I don't remember him setting anyone up. So his assists were not memorable.
With out having seen any film on Bolvar all we have to go on are his stats. We have seen good things with our own eyes with Yow and Neyman.
Well Shawn either didn't watch the last two games of the season, or apparently Flores whipping inch perfect crosses and corners in those games to set up goals isn't memorable enough.
Nah, attacking players arent NBA ball hogs. They need help to succeed. Look at Messi with Argentina lately.
I'm with you. Pricey Zoltan isn't anything to get excited about. However, this season could show a very different player, and I hope that's the case.
I think the biggest problem with Flores last year, besides the overall level of talent on the field around him was that he was forced to play inside a lot. When he came here, I thought the book on him was that he was an outside player who could play inside and with few options around him he understandably struggled. We had no one at striker, Arriola hurt, DMs behind him getting hurt left and right and only kids & Gressell to work with. It will be interesting to see what Titi could do in the middle. I always felt like he was meant to play in the middle, but he was never going to be the #1 option inside with Lucho on the field.
The team wasn't officially knocked out of the playoffs til they lost the last game of the season. The season wasn't over yet.
Titi has been playing both AM and LM lately for Estudiantes, but I wonder if his best spot here in a 3-5-2 isn't LWB with Asad or Reyna in the middle and Flores as a go anywhere second forward with Kamara. I don't know if you want to use Flores at LWB (though it looks like he started there the last game of last season), but I'm sure Losada will figure this out better than I can. Flores was definitely better at the end of last season when the team was playing more attacking football and he was finally fully fit. I expect to see more of that Flores in 2021.
It ain't over now, 'cause when the goin' gets tough, the tough get goin'. Who's with me? Let's go! Come on!...
D.C. United trading MLS rights to Blackburn D Derrick Williams (Irish national team) to LA Galaxy for $75K general allocation money this year and $50K next year. Williams, who is Irish/American, was on DCU's radar since last year; the club had MLS discovery rights. #dcu #mls— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) March 4, 2021 Luck O' The Irish
Sorry gotta say this Flores might actually be better in Losada's system. He might not but he also might.
I would love to see the Asad of the last couple of weeks of last season because up until then, he looked out of shape, slow, uninterested, and not the player who left DC a year prior. I know he was never the impact player he was in Atlanta, but with Lucharoo, his role was different, the guy who went back to Argentina who dumped by his Velez what how he looked most of his 2nd stint here.

It is nice to see the club find Yanks abroad that are not getting much PT. The class of Arriola and Canouse worked out well and hopefully this guy will too. I'm sure there are plenty of talented guys out there holding onto the dream that would make a difference for the club.
For Arriola it got him onto to the USMNT B squad. Not starting for WC games, but enough playing time to be chosen for the 24 squad.
There was speculation recently about acquiring Nigel Robertha from his Bulgarian team but Goff tells me it is on hold now, but might warm up in the summer. He seemed like a potentially.positive addition.
Probably just as well. Give Losada a few months to get a read on the current roster, measure the competition and figure out who he needs and doesn't.
