Henri is out in Montreal. Sacramento is bowing out of the league. The league must have taken a HUGE financial hit what with no season tickets, and no general admission tickets sold. Significant player signings are down noticeably Some of the franchise operators are not in MLS for the love of the game. They're in it for the money. I may be wrong, but I'm detecting the smell of panic in some quarters. The entertainment industry in general has taken enormous losses in 2020, and continues to do so. Is it possible that the very future of the league is in the balance? I hope not, but I have to ask..

Sacremento wasn't supposed to join until 2022 originally, and had delayed this to 2023 eight months ago. Meanwhile Austin is still joining this year.

I'm sure there's impact, but I don't think there's serious trouble - or else the league wouldn't be offering them full pay for 2021.

I think the pandemic was a major blow but let's be honest it hit every league in the world massively.

If you think MLS is down bad, take a look at the state Ligue 1 in France is in, it's devastating so many sports leagues have taken such a hit.
