Dest all games PBP thread

And he looks quite dangerous

 

Dest had a great steal a few minutes ago that led to a breakaway. I haven't seen the whole game, but if he gets a lot of minutes in this new position I think he's going to make some things happen.

 

I’ve always wanted to see him in a more advanced attacking position. And he’s looking great there.

 

Dest in this spot and this formation is more dangerous than he and they have looked in some recent games. I think it could use a tweak - they have four guys effectively dominating the central midfield, and I'd like to see if they could get a away with three of have one of them see it as their job to open up runs forward in possession, because Messi ain't going to do that.

Damn ball comes to Dest wide about 10' yards out - blasted shot off of the near post. Didn't have a ton of space near post to beat the keeper, but just missed a goal.

 

How does Messi miss that? Dembele blows up Sevilla's entire defense and Messi just shanks a free shot over the bar.

 

Maybe he should have placed it instead of blasting it but you love to see him in these positions.

 

Really great game from Barca so far. If you told me the score was 3-0 or even 4-0 I'd believe you. Dest's been in the middle of it too in both directions.

 

Dest channels his inner Wes, chases down a hopeless ball, muscles the Seville player, and somehow turns it into a corner.

I like this commentator Albert, and not just because when he was asked to name his "king of the match" the second name out of his mouth was "Dest", after Dembele and before Messi.

 

I thought he played well ... but not THAT well.

 

Wow imagine that, when you set up a team to attack with Dest, you get results.

 

Having Messi on the team helps a little, too.

 

Messi is overrated. Dest is the real deal!
