He actually seemed more onsides on that play than the goal... but that is what the technology is for. He was 2 offsides from having a brace and an assist. Good game for Sarge.

VAR hat-trick-- one goal allowed, one disallowed & one assist disallowed

Huge win for Bremen. Sarge w/ the game-winner. Feel good for him.

Don't look now, but with a decent end to the season Sargent might not be far off from preseason prognostications. I think I said anywhere from 6-8 would be a successful season. If he gets to 6 (3 in the last 12 might be pushing it), combined with being the key attacker on a midtable squad as a 20/21 year old, not sure how any of the debbies here could poopoo that.

Massive performance from him today, and a massive result for werder. Actually looked like a top half table team from what I saw.

What a great game for Sarge!! So glad he could be clutch, and I'm sure he is too. He works his butt off game in and game out so hopefully he'll slowly regress back to his mean, which I believe would be another 5 goals minimum!

Great way to start the weekend! Glad I stayed in and watched the game

TransferMkt has 24/5/3, with maybe an extra assist/appearance in the Pokal? And the Pokal goals have been key, even if against B2 opposition, for a team that's progressed pretty far in the tourney.

I'd say decent, leaning slightly more towards good than bad.

I've wasted so much freaking time watching that team, finally decided to walk the dog for the 2nd half. Maybe i gotta keep doing that for Werder matches.

Man, i really like Josh. When he plays like this, of course. Favorite part of his game is how he initiates contact prior to the ball arriving on 50/50 balls in the air. He see's the ball coming and immediately looks to check his man before the it arrives. A great skill he's developed recently. Unlike your typical box-out type of move, he body checks the defender before he can get settled.

Really like it. And damn, i think he'd link up so well with our MNT players.

Looked more like an all touch video compared with Weah's "all run with no ball" video last game (as another hip posters noted). LOL

Looks he find the trick to get rid of “no goal” demon.

Watching Bremen is like performing missionary work and I'm not talking about the heels in the air kind. It's like teaching starving people to speak english. Dire.

Gotta love the enthusiasm and joyfulness in here after he scores. It may take 4 or 5 games but it builds up so much glee from everyone. :D

big win against Frankfurt. Kohfeldt made a great decision to pair Sargent with Gebre Selassie on the right wing when in possession. This exposed the space that Kostic offered.
No worries, will be a good Kicker grade. ;) I guess 2 or 2.5.

Most important game of the season coming up on Tuesday!

Why is it the most important game? Pokal quarters against a B2 team? Is it important just cuz it's the tournament, or is there loads of money on the line for progressing?

I would think the key games are those to keep the team above relegation (like yesterday)?

For anyone who -watched- the actual game, can you please tell me the formation that Bremen actually played.
Ie was Sargent a center forward?
I obv didn't watch the game as I have Bremen fatigue.

The most important game of the season so far. If we beat Regensburg it’s likely that we‘re just one win away from the Europa League. And yes, reaching the semis would be important financially as well.
