Sancho looks sharp

 

Nice give and go with Sancho. Reyna takes a good shot but the shot slightly drifted wide

 

Been much better the last 5 minutes or so. Did well with his first touch, but misses the shot into the side netting.

 

You’ll get your wish. He’s about be hired as a coach for LAFC.

 

Not watching/listening, but I'm with you.

 

He offers nothing as a tactical announcer and just regurgitates anything you could say for any league. Knows nothing about any of the players. It’s beyond awful

 

Decided to watch this one instead of Schalke, looks like I made the right choice.

Renya looks like he has slipped centrally and is now more involved in the attack. Good game to get his confidence back. Could his natural spot be at CAM.

 

I think Reyna's issue has been his style of play. He plays nonchalantly and it will work for him as long as the opponent respects his offense. Once the game gets tight, he is forced to make an error because of the way he plays. The same thing happened last November, the difference was we had a solid mid to bail him out.

 

I remarked to my wife how much he has improved. I also enjoy hearing him.

 

He’s gonna be out at 60’ unless he picks it up

Great stuff by Sancho getting the defense on the back foot, drawing three defenders, and nice shot from distance by Dahoud. Good stuff. Can they play with some confidence now, please?

 

I'd be subbing in Zagadou instead of tending to Can's head wound. With five subs, a 1-0 lead, and a guy who might be a better defender on the bench? But maybe that's too "youth soccer coach" of me.

Oh man, they are not going to give the score to Reyna but calling a penalty first.

This ref is a wasteman! Why not play advantage and let the goal stand?

 

Ref was way too quick on the trigger there. Should have waited just one more second to play the advantage.

 

Reyna doesn't get the respect and call. He should have.

 

Then Gio gets blatantly shoved from behind with no call. Wow.

 

ref is not good...

 

At least Sancho buries the penalty and it's 2-0. Bummer that Reyna's quick anticipation sitter doesn't count.
