Sargent nice play sending Veljkovic into the corner for a cross, then, when the cross is deflected, wins a header putting it into a dangerous place. But no luck.
Sargent puts in in the net, Sargent's good hold up play leads to a though ball to an offside Rashica, whose shot is rebounded high in the air, and Sargent converts the opportunity with good anticipation and a calm finish from eight yards. We will all forget this happened as Rashica couldn't stay onside during his part of the nice attack.
Weder playing a lot more livelier, Sargent looking more involved in this match then I have seen him so far this season, and nearly rewarded.
Just turned it on in the 20th minute, but he looks good today. Had about 3 real nice touches/turns, drawing key fouls. Nice to see after a couple down games.
Good combo play by several gets Sargent a lefty shot from inside the box - it was a little awkward and he didn't create enough space, and it's blocked.
Bremen actually watchable today. Seems the goal was a bit BS, off a corner that shouldn't have been given. Bremen with 3 in the front more or less, and have looked pretty threatening. Those front 3 just drop so deep it makes any counters impossible. They need to keep Toprak pushed forward as a DM on offense all the time, and feed him more. He actually can hold the ball a bit, and looks to move the ball forward with the dribble/pass, which has opened up space. WB have probably been the better team from what I've seen.
Timmy Chandler gets some extended camera time making faces and sticking out his butt during second half warmups. All the subs are warming up, so it's not a preview that he's coming in or anything.
Frankfurt is a really good team and have been on a great run. WB and Sargent looked okay first half, but if they concede another it's game over IMO
Close offside call on VAR, left back may have kept him on. Eggestein great pass through to wide open Sargent, who places inside of the far post off of the keeper's fingers.
Well deserved for Sargent, of the front two he’s playing the deepest, putting in the work. Best game I have seen him play so far.
First Bremen match I've watched in months, and Sargent grabs a goal. I'll be taking credit for this one, you can all thank me later.
Arms don't count. Something to do with not being allowed to use your hands in soccer. Sargent gets led dangerously by Rashica, blasts near post forcing a good save by Trapp.
What's rarer than a Josh Sargent goal? A good pass from a teammate that puts him in a dangerous position. This is the best I've seen the not-Josh-Sargent WB players play.
Sargent took his run too close to the last defender initially, which I think made Rashica think there wasn't space.
