  1. Well, consider the not so unlikely possibility that we are at the gate of a new era, in which covid viruses, just like the flu viruses, come around each year in multiple forms, and still with the capability unlike the flues to put masses into hospitals.
Sneezing around without a mask will be considered by alot of people as being an assault on their body.

The flu IS a killer virus. Just to varying degrees every year and in certain hotspots.
Ummmm...... That's the problem. Flu shots should be for EVERYONE who is not allergic are immunocompromised. NOT just the concerned. This old not-quite-40-yr-old remembers that the flu and pneumonia were actually terrifying.

Colds pass quickly? Well, again, that's ********ing lame. My first daughter as an infant kept getting prescribed antibiotics because mild colds inevitably led to an ear infection every other month, until we had to have surgery to get tubes in her ears to avoid more antibiotics, which is risky because it might damage her hearing the rest of her life. So, yeah, I guess colds are not a big deal. ******** you. You and yours are fine, so..... No big deal, right?
It is selfish, if you don't take other precautions. If you physically go to work or head to the pub, you are wantonly infecting others, when you could just chill for one ********ing weekend, you're ********ing selfish. Yes. You are selfish. I've done it. I'm an asshole. I've put my friends in the situation of having a shitty week to hang out for a couple hours one night on several occasions. I've done it a bunch. I'm an asshole. I'm going to try and repent.

It isn't selfish, if our stupid ********ed up "free-hand free-capitalist" mentality essentially forces someone with little means to continue working. But even then, I've seen those guys put on bandanas. This is a cultural thing, and you sound like a pretty entitled American to me. I live in America (the USA specifically, but ******** the whole South, Central and our stupid hat. Oh, I guess we have islands in there somewhere?), so maybe I'm the asshole? OK. I'm the asshole.

    Wear a ********ing mask!

Sorry to hear about your daughter, but I actually had tubes in my ears multiple times growing up, so I am quote familiar with all that, and am confident that colds aren't the culprit, and probably could be a myriad of other factors contributing to it. In my case it was an underdeveloped eustachian tube (connects inner ear to throat and equalizes pressure) which you eventually out grow with age.

Regardless this is getting off topic.

Try to collect your thoughts on this, as you aren't making too much sense with this last bit.

It’s done! My wife and I were able to standby and got in late PM for “unassigned” jabs.

This crowd is getting younger. Won't be long before nobody gets it.

In ten years, the 40somethings will be communicating thru acronyms, not knowing how to read cursive or tell time on a real watch...

I've tried fixing the settings to eliminate this problem to no avail. What's weird is some people can start a convo with me.

Those of you in the US, rather than destroy vaccines, some states/clinics are offering standby in the evenings for people that want the vaccine. Call your local providers

I'm not sure if it's true, my mom has a complicated relationship with reality, but she said that she was grocery shopping in DC and the pharmacist got on the PA towards the end of the day and said that they were giving shots in the pharmacy to anyone who wanted it. Apparently they'd prepped more doses than actually needed and would rather give them to their valuable customers than toss them.

My mom refused, of course, because vaccines are tools of Big Pharma.

That's what you sound like to me when you are so dismissive of the flu and cold. I should use the "/sarcasm" annotation more often.

I got my second a week ago. The wife was the only one that had a reaction, fever, chills, body ache for about 12 hours. Me and my two daughters were unaffected.

Yeah, last night was a trip...

4 hours of 102 fever - chills - no appetite - had to retreat under a blanket and watch Mia Malkova content on TikTok / Twitch / IG

Just consider the emphasized text above NSFW, fellas
