That’s what I’ve been saying for a while now. Simply idiotic and unnecessary individual mistakes. Koeman has a part in the blame for sure but it’s undeniable that he’s been let down by some of these amateurs ffs.
The worst thing is I'm not even that bothered because you know when we play LPB and Atletico we will lose both games so dropping the 2 points doesn't matter, we're fighting for 3rd place.
The guy is appalling, absolutely brain dead and a lazy ********er who is happy to give away penalties because he can't be bothered to defend properly.
And then he has the gall to smile sarcastically like he didn’t just concede the dumbest penalty ever at the worst possible time both in this game and in the current situation in the league table.
They parked the bus and were well-organized and compact. This was also the case in our golden days under Pep. Sometimes you have to grind out these results. Sometimes the defense has to come through. With Lenglet we’ll never be able to grind out these “champion-making” results.
Koeman doesn’t get my sympathy at all. How many times has Lenglet and Umititi cost this team this season? I mean it’s not like different players are screwing us each time. Miguenza, not very good himself, has shown more discipline and bite than both of the french clowns but still he is not getting game time instead of these jokers. Don’t even want to speak about Koeman’s subs, or Puig or his in game influence. He is the biggest reason we are failing as a team.
The other way to look at it is, because we will lose those two matches every other match was a must win. I mean, with 14 wins and 2 losses we still would have won La Liga. Of course those 14 wins would include Sevilla and Anoeta ...
We won't be Sevilla, other than beating Juve we aren't good enough to beat any half decent team we play.
First, should have killed the game off. No ifs and buts. Second, Lenglet sucks, but that is such a BS PK call. His foot grazed the Cadiz players foot. There are many "shoulder to shoulder" plays that are way more PKs than this. Horrible call if you ask me.
Should he be doing those actions inside the box at that point in the game though. It was just stupid by him and characteristic of his amateurism of late. He shouldn’t be starting any games for us anymore.
I hate Lenglet more than any player on our team. Just his incompetence combined with his arrogant and defeatist attitude. He seems angry on the pitch and just so negative. Don't want him ever playing for us again...
What made me snap with Lenglet was the idiotic smile he had on face after he had given the penalty away, as if to say 'look at me everybody, I've just given another daft penalty, aren't I clever'. The guy can't be bothered to defend, he could have headed that ball away, he could have jostled with the Cadiz player, he was going away from goal anyway, but no because he can't be arsed he just kicks out a leg. And most of his mistakes are down to him just not being bothered, I'll grab a players shirt in the box even though I know VAR will spot it because I can't be arsed to mark him tightly. The guy would even get in to most Championship sides in England.
I think you guys are being harsh on the Lenglet for this PK. It was a BS PK. The smile was an ironic smile saying "WTF is this shit".
It might be a BS PK or whatever. That’s beside the point. The point is that this clown somehow came to the conclusion that it was Ok to do something so stupid and risky inside the box at that point in the game. It was not even absolutely necessary. Not being harsh at all. It’s also not JUST about this game. It’s an accumulation of stupid mistakes that has cost us this season. That idiotic smile was just the cherry on top.
