Tanganga did well at RB up against Sterling and Foden at the weekend.

Would be more beneficial for England if he were playing CB but it's a start.

They have changed it now or at least the pictures of Barnes. Shows how much interest the press actually have in the U21’s. The likes of CHO, Bellingham and Greenwood were always most likely to go with the U21’s. Only slight surprise would be Reece James.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised by that but maybe an indication that AWB might get called up to the seniors ( he’s been in decent form of late ) but then again not under Southgate's preferred formation unless he’s going to switch to four at the back. Quite hard to predict Squads at the moment as we’re not certain what formation Southgate will go with as that makes a difference. So many U21 eligible players around the senior squad that could drop back. Maybe losing Justin from the U21’s might mean James could drop back for regular game time also rather than be mainly a bench player. It’s only really the Poland game that gains most experience and challenge, San Marino and Andorra should be a formality, bigger challenge with the U21’s games.

I wouldn’t see the point in calling up Wan-Bissake over James. If Walker, TAA and Trippier are in the squad then Southgate might have to make do with just the 3 right backs lol.

Is Trippier available or is he still on this ban? Also it’s never a given if Walker is called up. It did get me thinking though about whether it’s more beneficial for our fringe U21’s in the senior squad to play against Andorra and San Marino or play against Portugal, Croatia and Switzerland at U21 level. I think it’s only important to have the first choice against Poland, the other matches you could have AWB, Maddison’s, Barnes, JWP, Ings etc of the Worlds to win those games. I know it won’t happen off course and Southgate will pick what he see’s as his strongest squad against Andorra, San Marino and Poland but it did get me thinking. I think that’s a possible reason as to why James might play for the U21’s rather than be with the seniors.

Albania away will probably see Southgate pick a strong side.

If Trippier is indeed banned then I’d keep James with the seniors.

Oh yeah, my bad it’s Albania not Andorra. That’s a little more tricky so you probably want your best Squad available for that match. Scratch everything I said, thought it was based on San Marino & Andorra, lol.

It only makes sense to me if Boothroyd demands on sticking with three at the back. James would suit the RCB role well.

Yeah this is quite a lot discussion for an article that's telling you they have inside information on Harvey Barnes returning to the under-21s.

Looking like Bursik has lost his starting role at Stoke. Will Brandon Austin be allowed back for these finals games now he’s based in America?

Might mean Ramsdale, Bursik and Balcombe get the roles.

Luke Thomas must be a call up at left back with Justin out injured

Ryan Schofield of Huddersfield and Michael Cooper of Plymouth might be late contenders for 3rd choice as they're both starting keeps although playing in fairly poor teams.

The Sun not only have Barnes in their potential starting eleven but also his teammate James Justin who's just done his ACL.

We have to submit the 23 player squad to UEFA on Monday 15th March.

Ramsdale playing much better in the last few games. Great to see considering he has had a very challenging season.

IF Bellingham can’t travel for the group games this month, would he be ineligible for the knockout stages in June (should we make it)?

Yeah this is what I don’t get with the Squad selections? What if there’s an Covid outbreak with a team that’s qualified for the finals, will they be able to call up new players etc. Can you add to the Squad, etc? I really don’t know!

Ordinarily not but with the 3 months gap between then they must surely allow changes. Injuries will occur.

Presumably he could be part of the squad that is submitted to UEFA without actually travelling.
