All three have a case but James is my favourite. Always found TAA too erratic for my liking but has amazing right foot and engine. Trippier also playing well this season and had some really good games for England. Guess we will see in few months where we are.
Fit Sancho is one of the first names on team sheet for me. Has a lot of time to come in form and besides thought he did well in his last few games for England. Somebody doing well in the February in a well drilled team in a familiar surrounding in direct premier league does not count so much for me, and i am not referring to Maddison, who I like and would consider for the squad.
Both have something to offer and believe DCL is improving at faster rate. Still, not big fan of either and would like to see Watkins get a chance. Good movement, presence, so selfless and tireless. Also has chemistry with Grealish.

Watkins won't get a look in without a big injury crisis I would think, Kane, Abraham, DCL and Ings all ahead of him

Possibly, but I like him and think he has a lot to offer. Him and Ben White are two uncapped players i would like to see in next squad.

Isn't this the last get together before the Euros? unlikely newbies will come in as anything more than filler, he needs to be nailing down his plans

U take saka because he can play multiple positions rather than just a backup left back wasting a spot

Grealish came in just recently and was immediately best player on the pitch...international football is so much about quality and confidence. For example somebody like M Keane has proved so many times that he is not good enough(although it was clear from the beginning) yet he keeps getting choosen. That being said I don't expect Southgate to change his mind now, it is just my wish.

I'm not sure Keane will make the next squad. He looks the most vulnerable if Stones is recalled.

Right now i would pick something like:
Pickford Chillwell Maguire Stones James Rice Mount Sterling Grealish Sancho Kane

with Pope, Henderson(GK) , Saka, Mings, Tomori/White, TAA, Phillips, Winks, C. Jones, Foden, Rashford, Watkins on bench.

Also believe until end of the season CHO will make a strong case for himself to be included. ATM I'd prefer him to stay with u21 but undoubtedly has quality to be here. Hopefully Bellingham will solve DM problems in future but still would be early for him imo.

people keep talking about Grealish at 10 he doesn't play there, he plays left wing, maybe he could do it at PL but we have yet to see that same with Foden who in general is playing in the front 3 for Man City right now, I think England need to play 4231 or 433 but playing players where they play for their clubs, unless unavoidable due to injuries and suspensions is an absolute must, its where players are used to playing and producing the form that gets them called up in the first place

maybe. For me mings should miss out. I think he’s an average player. Keane has been consistently good for Everton for a while now

Besides his free kicks, he doesn't bring much.

The 4-3-3 gets the most out of the type of players we have.

In my opinion Saka should be challenging for that RW spot. Leaving him out of the squad completely would be a joke. As an Arsenal follower, he's the only reason I still look forward to watching them play. His close control and dribbling is up there with the best I've seen. He's got a great football mind too.

Rashford in my opinion is a good option to have, but does not measure up to Saka technically. Sometimes he can be a bit of a donkey and lose possession. But with Saka, I've honestly not been this excited over a young Arsenal player since Cesc.

I'm 100% certain that if Saka was starting for Dortmund every game in the Bundesliga, he would be doing just as much as Sancho and probably more.

I think Foden will start there but Saka is a great option to have in the squad.

If Saka was comparable at left back to Chilwell and Shaw then that becomes an option. The fact is he's an emergency left back, and that should have no bearing on his inclusion. Otherwise Maitland-Niles would be the first backup midfielder as he can cover other positions.
If he's in the squad, it's on his merits as a winger/attacking midfielder. At the moment, he's behind Rashford, Sterling, Sancho, Grealish and Foden, and competing with Maddison, Barnes etc for one potential, but not guaranteed, place.
Sometimes you have to leave good players out - Laporte would walk into our team, but hardly gets a look in for France. It's a good problem to have.

The only reason Rashford doesn't make the squad is injury.

Sancho and Rashford have done so much more to prove themselves at the top level than Saka that it would be insane for Southgate to prioritise his place in the squad over them based on speculation about what he might do in a different team. He's 19. He's got plenty of time to win his place.

Sake is very impressive but you are doing a huge disservice to Sancho and Rashford. Their numbers are far better than his for a start.

I don't see why we can't take all 3. Rashford saka and sancho.

Just adding. I dont want Shaw in the squad. He made his bed when he did the dirty on England by pulling out with a fake injury. Then playing for man utd at the weekend. I would rather take saka and chilwell

Unless England take him as a cover for left wing-back its going to be difficult to see how he will make the squad for me. Rashford, Sterling, Sancho, Grealish will surely be taken as wide players by England. Then Foden will clearly make the squad also. That's already up to 5.

I would like Saka as a left wing back option though if we insist on keeping with 3-4-3, against the very best teams you want more defensive solidity but against Scotland and Czech Republic we should be looking to dominate possession.

100% and I expect Rashford to be in the squad and to play an important part in the team. Just saying Saka is technically a better footballer than Rashford and you can't dispute that. His close control and dribbling is on another level. Rashford however has that explosive pace and power which is really useful in a front 3. He's also more of a forward than a midfielder so more likely to find himself in goalscoring positions.

Saka is carrying Arsenal in the Premier League this season. He should be in the squad in my opinion.

Mings is left-footed and, Maguire aside, the only one who's looked fully comfortable on the left of the three, plus he's in good form, so I think he'll stay. I think it'll be Keane or Dier who makes way if Stones comes in, which I think he must.

Agree with everything u said tom apart from saka being technically better than rashford. Saka is technically brilliant but so is rashford. People assume rashford is all about pace but its his technique that is also very high
