Kelsey Daugherty in Sweden: Djurgården has found what i guess is their new first keeper, 24 yo American Kelsey Daugherty. Daugherty spent 2 seasons at Danish top side Fortuna Hjörring and after that an uneventful last half of 2020 with Chicago Red Stars in #NWSL.https://t.co/ypV0RpIyt3— Daniel (@DandalBs) February 2, 2021
@Dave Marino-Nachison occasionally branches off into the women's YA game, so here is a post from her brother's thread that Giovana Queiroz Costa signed with Barcelona last year: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/a...costa-at-leganes.2080944/page-2#post-38830643 She has caps at the U17 level for the US, Brazil & Spain & a senior cap with Brazil.
She is part of the Brazilian roster for the SheBelieveCup. Not cap-tie to any nation yet. She might be eligible to play for Spain also.
In the W-League: Adelaide United 0, Melbourne Victory 1 On January 29, Melbourne Victory bounced back from a two game losing skid to defeat Adelaide United on the road 1-0, with the winning goal coming from Victory’s American forward Catherine Zimmerman in the 78th minute. Zimmerman, the former Sky Blue FC forward who has won two consecutive NSL (State League) Golden Boots for Melbourne’s Calder United, now has three W-League goals this season and is fourth behind Michelle Heyman of Canberra (six goals), Tara Andrews of Newcastle and Emily Gielnik of Brisbane, who both have four tallies. The Red’s American forward Mallory Weber missed her second consecutive game with a hamstring injury. Right place, right time from Catherine Zimmerman to head @victorywleague into the lead!🎥: @FOXFOOTBALL 📺: @Foxtel, @kayosports📱: My Football Live app https://t.co/wHSpvQaoGC#WLeague #ADLvMVC #AUFC #MVFC pic.twitter.com/eG6eo4sXmc— Liberty A-League (@aleaguewomen) January 29, 2021 Canberra United 3, Western Sydney Wanderers 0 Last week, American Chantel Jones, now an assistant coach with the team, stepped in for injured starter Sally James in their 1-1 home tie with Perth Glory on Jan. 24. Former Seattle Reign veteran and captain Kendall Fletcher, who missed a game with a minor injury, was back in the Canberra side and was hugely influential in starting attacks from her defensive midfield position. Fletcher had the most passes of any player in the game (64), with a 72% passing efficiency and won both of her two tackle attempts. She has been living in Australia since 2017 and is playing her ninth W-League season, five of which have been for the Greens. Melbourne City 2, Brisbane Roar 3 The second goal came when fellow Matilda Tameka Yallop shot from the edge of the box and American import Sam Johnson was called for a handball, which Gielnek slotted into the goal past Micah from the penalty spot. Melbourne City came back to tie things up in the second half as Matilda Alex Chidiac scored her second goal of the season just after the break and Johnson scored her first W-League goal in 42 W-League games across four seasons, dating back to the 2014 campaign with Sydney FC. Johnson’ 73rd minute score came from a penalty kick after Olivia Chance fouled the ever-dangerous Japanese international Chinatsu Kira in the box and the defender redeemed herself for the first half call that went against her which resulted in the Roar’s second goal. https://equalizersoccer.com/2021/02...sbane-remain-undefeated-while-adelaide-falls/

German club SC Sand signed quite a few Americans last couple of days, Phonesia Borwne, Andrienne Jordan & Summer Green. I remember Summer being a starter on the u17-20 US/NT squads(around 2012-14)

The first two, Browne & Jordan, I believe are right out of college. The third, Green, as mentioned, had an rep as a top youth player, but hasn’t translated to success in her adult years as she’s moving from the Scottish league’s Celtic team to one of Bundesliga’s lower half clubs, which I’m sure doesn’t pay a full pro salary(probably room & board and a little spending money). I’m sure their in it for ‘love of the game’ & possibly to get picked up my an NWSL club

I have a vague recollection of hearing the the OL-Montpelier match tomorrow, February 6, will be broadcast on U.S. television. This might be Caterina Macario's first match with OL. Has my ancient mind deluded me, or is that true? Channel and time?
