Had Chong played recently? He looked good in like the first game of the season and I can't remember him doing anything since then.

I came away with absolute zero from the T&T thing. Joke. Maybe some guys fell down the 3rd and 4th backups from practice but that game was rec league.

Very solid win against Fürth. We now made it to the quarter finals without conceding a goal.
Sargent played well but missed a couple clear chances again. Really nice assist.

No, he had one memorable play against Mainz in December but was a bit of a liability otherwise. I think a weaker league is better for his development

Maybe a shock finalist appearance for the club in the works?

Really, there are just Dortmund and Werder through, and probably Monchengladbach and Leipzig through tomorrow (though with the way things have been going, one of them is going out). This is a very crazy Pokal. Werder should like their chances. 1 in 50 is waaaaaay better than they've had to win the BL lately (I made that 1:50 up, but I think it is roughly accurate assuming no more upsets this round).

And agreed that Chong needs easier opponents.

With a bit of luck we may see a Sargent vs. Green in the Bundesliga next season.

That's the story of Chong's career.

Everywhere that's been foolish enough to give him a contract

Some good pointy-ball fun for Sarge and Friedl. Sarge seems a bit particular about the rules!

Seems appropriate to be tossing a pointy ball into a trash can.

I thought the little pointyball contest had a weird vibe, like it wasn't fun for him or Möhwald.

    Today's game has been postponed, to allow Arminia Bielefeld additional time to figure out how to defend the red hot Josh Sargent. {In order to allow AB to save face, the official explanation is 'bad weather.'}

"Sunday's Matchday 20 meeting between Arminia Bielefeld and Werder Bremen has been called off due to heavy snowfall.

The match was scheduled to kick-off at 5pm GMT at Bielefeld's SchücoArena, but sub-zero conditions coupled with heavy and persistent snow led the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL), in consultation with the two clubs and match officials, to postpone the match on safety grounds."

Further evidence that Bielefeld does not actually exist.

I think they just didn’t want to expose the conspiracy for all Americans to see, so they cancelled the game due to “weather.”

upload_2021-2-10_10-58-34.jpeg Maybe josh should just be a ball winning CM :(

Needs to be in a 3-forward line in which the other two are goal scorers. Or he might indeed be better off in midfield.

He lacks the body for a modern B2B CM, but the stats suggest he should give it a try.

That was painful to watch. Huge douche. Maybe that’s why he rarely gets service from any of his teammates.

Yeah, it was painful. He acted really cringe-worthily immature. The point of a silly, friendly and fun little video seemed lost on him.

how's his assists look like? is he at least contributing to the attack even if not scoring?

The whole thing is scripted. Sarge was supposed to be a douche. You know, right? 20-somethings are really into those things, they post that sort of stuff on Youtube, Twitch and TikTok all the time.

I'd say the difference between early-zoomers (1996-2002 y.o.b.) and later Gen Zers (2003+) is that the former tend to post a lot of scripted videos, while the later avoid those and post a lot of vids doing cool things (like drawing or building Rube-Goldbergs).

His shot creating actions ranking is solid for a forward his age.
