Ha! Yup. Exactly why he lasted one season and was never to be seen again. Bunch of punk kids with a “reckless” coach..... didn’t make these yuppy-ass parents happy.

The club has confirmed... that they have started negotiations:

Official negotiations have started with the football player and club Newcastle United FC regarding the transfer of professional football player DeAndre Roselle Yedlin to our club.

Statement from Steve Bruce regarding the transfer.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-deadline-day-Turkish-giants-Galatasaray.html

'Quite simply we've had three right-backs at the club now and I think DeAndre is suited to playing as a wing-back.

'It's been no secret that we've tried to change to a back four for a little bit of a while now, so to have three right-backs...

'I'd like to wish DeAndre the very best of luck in Turkey. He's certainly playing for a huge club in Galatasaray, so I wish him the best of luck.

'He's a great pro and a great lad, and sometimes you have to make decisions to let one out.'

A nice touch from Bruce. He's a thoroughly decent human being so it's a real pity that he's a quite decent manager at Championship level but a thoroughly mediocre manager at this one. He'll be gone soon. The only question is whether that "soon" is before June or after.

Good destination for Yedlin. Hoping he can help get them a Euro slot. 3rd in the table and only a few points behind 1 and 2.

Huge team fallen on harder times. Fans who are as rabid as any on earth. At one time they were ManU's bogey team in the CL!

Just out of curiousity, has the Turkish Superlig worked out the foreigner limit? I know it got increased from 12 to 14 and I thought I'd seen that it was being upped to 16, but Gala now has 17 non-Turks, don't they? Maybe they dropped it, as they have done the previous seven or eight times they've done this.

At least in Galata he'll really be in a new (old) castle... And in a sense, he's playing in Italy.

I think Bein carries some Turk superliga, right?
