If we're just going by the number of starts across all competitions this season among CMs, by my count we've got: Bentancur (19) McKennie (14) Rabiot (13) Ramsey (13) Arthur (13) Basically a 5 man rotation for 3 midfield spots (though some of them line up nominally wide or in attack). Bentancur seems to have the most minutes here, but after that it's neck and neck between 4 other midfielders (with McKennie being the most indispensable recently). If Ramsey's getting minutes over McKennie, I'd direct our ire toward him since he seems like the weakest of that bunch, with substantial overlap in responsibilities with McKennie. After that? I don't know, Rabiot maybe? Hopefully we won't have to come up with an answer.
Rabiot and Arthur both honestly. Betancour has had a regression from last year but he was thr best mid last year for Juve and will get the benefit but he also plays a different role from Wes. Arthur will always get the benefit of more chances this year due to his price tag (and as I've said many times I'm no fan of Arthur and that has nothing to do with Wes) and Rabiot is one of those guys that when he is on very few are better than him. So if Juve struggles at all Rabiot will likely get first look due to being one able to make big plays
If Wes is rested, like he probably will be today, since there’s a series of more important games coming up; then Ramsey or Rabiot are his likely replacements. We don’t need to put Spector’s mom on their cases. As long as Wes does what Wes does, then he’s an essential part of the midfield. Betancur and Arthur play different roles. Betancur has the defensive responsibilities, and Arthur is the creator. That’s why this group, BAM, works well together, as their roles are well-defined in this group.

Very true. de Light missed the first 6 games with a shoulder injury, and then two games because of COVID; Demiral missed games 9-15 with a muscle injury; Chiellini missed games 5-13 with muscular issues and struggled when he returned. Meanwhile, LB Alex Sandro missed the first 7 games with a hamstring and the last 4 with COVID. All of that on top of a heavily curtailed pre-season. Really hard to get a team set up, especially defensively with that going on
So, the only starters in the lineup today are those that need minutes after coming off injury or covid.
I know it's not the first time he's been benched but always a shock to not see Ronaldo starting a match.
Interesting rumor on vecchiasignora.com is that Juve is the subject of the next "All or Nothing", based upon this season. If true, no doubt, we'll get to see alot of Wes, he's such a camera magnet.
Juve already did the Netflix behind the scenes show. Maybe they can go more in depth with this Amazon one.
McKennie makes a last minute, 86th min, appearance because it looks like Pasta e Fagioli has to come off.
WHAT?!? He played in the MLS All-Star game as a 17 year-old, the single biggest game on the American soccer calendar! You know who never played in the MLS All-Star game? WESTON MCKENNIE. This proves that Fagioli is the superior player, and should immediately start for Juventus. As long as he's not injured, which I sincerely hope he's not.
