Chelsea v. Wolves Wednesday, January 27, 2021 Stamford Bridge, London | 3PM US EST Wow. Here we go. Simon Johnson @SJohnsonSport · 24m Will be confirmed in an hour but hearing some interesting #CFC team news for Thomas Tuchel’s first game in charge: back three, all three Germans involved and expect Callum Hudson-Odoi to play as a right wing back. Mason Mount has been left out of the XI.
Kante is out injured. Christian Pulisic is a doubt due to a minor leg injury suffered on Sunday. Tuchel did mention that Jorghino would be the heartbeat of the team.
So... ----az--Rud--Silva CHO----Jorg------Chillwell -----Ziyech--Kova--Havertz------- -----------Giroud-------- Or something?
We lost super late to Wolves in our last match out. 2-1 on 15 Dec. Very typical Chelsea. Start strong, but forget the game is 90 minutes. Podence with the equalizer (a great near post finish) at 65 minutes. Neto finishing a counter in the 94th minute. Kinda weak from Mendy. We'd be all over Kepa for the same. Zouma very poor, too.
4-2-3-1 ? Azpi----Rudiger---Silva--Chillwell Kova----Jorg Ziyech---Havertz---CHO -----Giroud We knew he was going to be a fan of Rudiger and Jorghino
So tired of Jorginho over Gilmour. 2 LWBs on the bench is bizarre. Midfield is extremely weak. Wolves will tear through it on the counter.
Interesting line-up to say the least. I really hope Jorg is someone Frank never understood and Tuchel knows and seems something we don't.
hopefully Azpiluceta will be fast enough. I think I prefer James back there. Zouma out? Not too bothered by that one. Pulisic has a slight injury, so I am thinking that is why he is on the bench. And then there is the Jorghino sighting in the starting XI. Which is baffling us all. But then we have probably watched more Chelsea games recently than Tuchel. Tuchel might think he has a midfield general.
I am going to self censor myself until after the game. But presently not amused. But then again I am not a professional football manager
