JLS: Odegaard made the decision to leave RM because he knew that he won't be a starter against Alyocano. 🚨ODEGAARD, AL ARSENAL🚨💥Ojo porque tomó la decisión de marcharse del Madrid cuando no fue titular contra el Alcoyano.👉Información de @JLSanchez78 en #JUGONES. ¡VENTE! pic.twitter.com/bncJR8n5O8— El Chiringuito TV (@elchiringuitotv) January 27, 2021
Look at the source. Why even take anything they say seriously? All sensationalism to get this exact kind of response.
Fact is he is in an Arsenal shirt now and this guy ran like he got stung by a bee. Something happened.
Im sure he was given some promises from the club, to assure him (And his camp) that coming back this season and not staying at Real Sociedad for another made sense for his growth. But then he barely played, whether that’s due to Zidane not trusting or liking him, his injury questions, or just not showing himself to be ready to contribute (doubt it), we don’t know. I’m not the biggest fan of the player, but he should’ve gotten more minutes, even if toward the end of matches or to rotate the mids a bit. We screwed this up. Hopefully he plays well there and we can salvage the relationship. That’s the same way I feel about Jovic, but I’m not that optimistic on either. Bottomline is we can’t afford to squander talented youth.
BVB's Erling Haaland: "It'll be exciting to see Ødegaard at Arsenal, I think he'll adapt well and enjoy football in England. Arteta needs to play him regularly, once he recovers his confidence - he'll do unbelievable things." pic.twitter.com/XRpcmXry5A— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) January 27, 2021
Which young talent would want to come now to Madrid with ZZ in charge? Camavinga might think twice now before coming here.
Sending away one of the more creative midfielders in the team at a time when not only are we often short of ideas for large stretches of the match but we're short numbers in midfield on the whole is absolutely baffling. Zidane betting the farm on Modric, Kroos, Casemiro, Valverde and Isco could be a defining moment of his second stint. I fundamentally disagree with him but it's clear he's willing to live and die by his decisions. For our sake, I hope he's right.
I’m not willing to give up on Odegaard, feels like letting him go would be akin to Chelsea letting Kevin De Bruyne go all those years ago, If Zidane can’t integrate talents like him then he has to go.
The question will really be "what happens in 6 months"? If Zidane is still in charge next season, then what's the guarantee that Martin has a better shot then especially since he would have wasted half of this season. The only midfielder likely to leave is Isco and if we were to bring in someone like Camavinga, then strictly from a numbers angle it's the same amount of players. The best we can hope for is that Martin goes back on loan next season and he basically waits Zidane out.
Exactly. People who say "Real Madrid is not a daycare" should just take a look at Bayern Munich. They signed Goretzka when he was 23, Kimmich when he was 20, Gnabry when he was 22, Alaba when he was 17 and so on and on, and all of them now are either crucial 1st team players or rotation players. I see no reason why our club shouldn't be able to replicate this kind of model successfully, especially considering that signing ready-made superstars in 2021 is much more expensive than it was in the late 2000s or early 2010s.
Bad move in my opinion. He should have stayed at Real Sociedad, 2 consistent years to prove whether he's the real deal or not. He has a few months at Arsenal and what is he really going to do in that time? Yet another new country, league, club, manager and team mates to adapt to. Just hope we haven't ruined this guys career.

Imagine going from an environment where you're told you're not good enough for the Copa del Rey to a place where you are compared to Messi.
