"San Jose Earthquakes bring in Eduardo ‘Chofis’ Lopez on loan from Chivas" (Center Line Soccer - Wednesday, 1/20/21) -G
Sounds like the possible transfer fee if Swansea purchase him is probably the biggest factor. I can't see Leverkusen offering much for a 26 year old from MLS since most of their big money signings are much younger than that over the past few years. Wolfsburg spent less than 4 million on a 25 year old Brazilian from the Austrian Bundesliga and 5.5 on a 25 year old French left back from Ligue 1. Don't see them going above 4 million for him. Plus I'm almost certain his wages if he went to Swansea and they were promoted would be far better than the Bundesliga sides. English clubs just have dumb amounts of money when they get into the EPL.
They are English for the sake of soccer as they are under the English FA and not the Welsh FA (like The New Saints are located in England but are a Welsh club since the are under the Welsh FA). Yeah, I meant if they got promoted since they are in an automatic promotion spot right now. That really isn't clear though by what I wrote so I do sound like a big dumb dumb head there. Also, official: 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀! Would love for this to happen. At least it would show that the Caps might have a bit of ambition this season. Loons acquire Jukka Raitala via trade. Minnesota United acquire veteran fullback Jukka Raitala in trade with CF Montréal | MLSsoccer.com Meaning our only forward on the current roster is still Foster Langsdorf. Yikes.

Kelyn Rowe has officially signed with the Sounders. On a bit of serendipity, Rowe's first game with the Sounders will be his 253rd, which is the area code for his hometown. Rowe's 253rd MLS appearance will be in his first match as a Sounder. https://t.co/5142taIMF2— Dave Clark (@bedirthan) January 29, 2021

Time for some MLS transfer drama:So #RBNY midfielder Kaku Romero announces he’s joining Saudi club Al-Taawoun, and Al-Taawoun also announces the signing.Only problem is Red Bulls have not agreed on any transfer, & a club spokesman tells me Kaku is still under contract. 🥴 https://t.co/vO2t9XgB1O— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) February 2, 2021 Kaku trying to pull a Larin/Camilo
NEW: Sources around the league indicate Brazilian striker Brenner will be joining FC Cincinnati 🔶🔷 from Sāo Paulo for big money 💸 #FCCincy #MLS— The Post Cincy - Covering FC Cincinnati & MLS (@ThePostCincy) February 5, 2021
That was supposedly what São Paulo wanted for him from a European team. No takers. Given some of the names FC Cincinnati has been linked to and haven’t gotten, they likely overpaid, but I doubt they overpaid that much.
