Excellent entertainment value in this game. Otherwise, it's more of the same from Dortmund. They're just not very tactically solid or consistent. Gladbach does seem to do well against strong opponents though
Dortmund are now at risk of missing CL. Gladbach no German scores but Assists: Neuhaus X2, Hofmann, Stindl Neuhaus also scored of Hofmann assist but ruled foul on Bellingham. Also same 3 that took down Bayern in 3-2 win. As I've been saying Gladbach is good team but waste toooooooooo many pts in dumb games and needesly too. But can beat any club in Germany.
For Terzic who doesn't have any fulltime coaching experience before this, it might be too tough of a task to have him guide this Dortmund club. This current stretch of games is really showing them unravel
I feel better about my undying Lucien Favre support. He exactly knew about the strengths and weaknesses of this squad and extracted pretty much what was humanly possible out of his player material. His only weakness was his lacking communcation skills. He should have given the Dortmund front-office a lot more shit for t he way this squad was assembled but Favre has always been too much of a loyal party servant.
Reports indicating that Gladbach have reached out to Erik Ten Hag as a coaching candidate. So it looks like gears may be in motion if the ongoing links of Marco Rose to Dortmund in the summer holds true
Haven't followed them in great depth lately but looks like Eintracht Frankfurt has been trending upwards lately. If they hold on to win vs Bielefeld they'll finish the day in 6th place. Dortmund could also slip down to 8th
when Adams and Halstenberg score you know Mainz suck badly. They ain't surviving this season. but putting up a good fight for 2-2. Leipzig shows their team isn't great and barely get results.
He just scored from a header from Renato Steffen cross. How he timed when to step forward in order to avoid offside is quite satisfying.
If Wolfsburg hold on to beat Vizekusen then both clubs will finish with 32 points on this match day. Although Kusen will still sit with a slight edge in 3rd place
Lewandowski will go down as one of the great striker of all time. Can't even imagine what will happen to Bayern when he finally retire..
Not too surprised, already expected Bayern to get another title when the season began. As long as Lewy and Neuer are still active and playing, I see them winning the league with relative ease every year. But at least the little guys can fight over the Pokal this season. It's the same old story with the other clubs behind them. Either mismanagement, coaching crisis, inconsistency, lack of mentality, constant player transfers/turnovers, tripping over other contenders, dropping points to minnows, etc. And then there's just outright collapses like Schalke.
You just described the Greek League. I remember watching an interview with a Greek football fan who stated the Greek League is one of the most mismanaged in Europe, and the reason we have Olympiakos winning twenty league titles in a row is because they have something of an infrastructure compared to the rest. I sincerely hope the Bundesliga doesn't stoop to that level.
As a neutral fan like me, I'm easily get annoyed when opportunity to go top/closing the gap to Bayern always wasted by these so called "other big teams"..oh well, at least the pokal will have a new champion.
I think Greek clubs also go through financial problems (among mismanagement) such as Panathinaikos' downfall in the recent decade Although technically Olympiacos hasn't won 20 league titles in a row. Panathinaikos won in 2009-10, and more recently AEK in 17-18 and PAOK 18-19. Separately, it's interesting to see how far behind Juventus are in this season in Serie A. Still reasonably open, but looks like it could be a Milan duel for the title.
I mean Greece has tons of economic issues as a country its not surprising that clubs have TONS of problems and that it affected them too. and we are talking about over decade issues.
Selke scores on a penalty, after Mittelstadt trips up a player, to give Werder the 1-0 lead Would be ironic if he's the player that may send Labbadia packing if Hertha loses
