Sign a lucrative deal with option out clause.

I hope he decides to just play out his contract. Just based on what he’s done the last few games he shouldn’t be short of first division offers.

It feels like every game he is getting more comfortable with the speed of play. That’s good to see. Some kids look out of their depth but Hoppe looks like he belongs at this level.

SO4 is a big club but it’s in a big mess. I guess I wouldn’t consider it to be the worst thing in the world if he goes down with them but I’d prefer to see him move on.

Schalke just signed Huntelaar, right? I could imagine him playing ahead of Hoppe if Matt doesn’t sign.

Breman should sign Hoppe. They need goals and the price would be right.

If they have no money, they're definitely not taking a punt on a kid whose value a month ago was in the $10,000s/low $100,000s. They're not too far off of making him bring his own coffee and washing his kit and training gear too. In hindsight I'm sure they wish he had more time on his contract so they could sell for a quick buck but 20/20 and all that

    I’M TRIGGERED.

but for real though Sargent might play better with Hoppe. They would be an interesting tandem.

If he shows well again today, and even scores, he has to be called in to the March camp, right?

If this is the pinnacle of his career, it’s a real shame that he won’t have experienced the adulation of a packed Gleirschlakuen (or whatever it’s called) stadium.

If he scores one or even gets close to a brace he can write his ticket to what he wants to do when this season ends.

Not to say that is going to be short of offers but if you can find a way to score against top clubs with short talent, then those top clubs notice.

If Schalke don’t get on the score sheet today perhaps they should buy the kind of player who can provide the sort of finish Sargent did yesterday.

To be fair, I think we all thought his streak might end tonight. Schalke are playing really well for their standard and they still can’t get the ball in the final third.

Hoppe off. Not much from him today.

one thing, he’s really poor in the air.
