Kroos and Gundogan can't play together. Based on current form, Gundogan definitely should be in the XI. With a proper 6 in the team, Gundogan's presence in the field will be more prominence than the one against Spain.
just rembered Low likes back 3 a lot which in turn means only 2 midfielders and in such line up Kroos and Kimmich seem 1st choice if he only plays 2 mid. with mids we have would be mistake to play 2 mids but than again CBs too weak to play back 2.....
one has to ask Low that question. Would prefer Neuhaus start taking over from Kroos or Gundo but Low sees it that Kroos is still important. I don't think Low calls up Kroos to play bench. And Low convinced him not to retire post 2018 WC too.
I think with his reputation and job on the line at euros I can see surprises by benching or axing a few
one good thing about France and Portugal in same group is that we won't see either again until min SF. At least we avoid them in any potential R16 or QF.
12 city/country was always dumb.... Euro 2020: Uefa 'thinking about' switching tournament to one country https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ing-about-switching-tournament-to-one-country
Gosens gets the nod as starting LB for me ahead of Halstenberg. Has been a steadier performer, with offensive contributions for Atalanta. The club have also been undefeated in Serie A for the past 10 games, including a big 3-0 win vs AC Milan today where Gosens picked up an assist.
The 2021 Euros are likely to revert to ONE host country, away from the 12 cities.Still to be called #Euro2020All 12 host European cities remain committedBut I think the betting of a country going it alone is1 Germany2 Spain3 Italy4 EnglandFoto #Euro2016 ©stuartroyclarke pic.twitter.com/JPEDL8sfGS— homesoffootball 💙 (@HOMESofFOOTBALL) January 21, 2021
Gk) Neuer, ter Stegen, Leno RB) Baku, Klostermann CB) Ginter, Hummels, Koch, Uduokhai LB) Gosens, Halstenberg CM) Kroos, Kimmich, Gundogan, Goretzka, Neuhaus, Emre Can RW/LW/AM) Gnabry, Sané, Jonas Hofmann, Havertz, Timo Werner CF) Volland
SO just on that topic - Stindl and Muller are currently the best attacking players Germany has at the moment better then - Draxler, Werner, Sane , Gnabry, Brandt, Reus, and Havertz Muller 9 goals and 9 Assist Stindl 9 Goals and 6 Assist
Tuchel taking over at Chelsea !! Good for Werner and Havertz ???? Or is he not really a manager who can guide young players ? He did nothing good for draxler development
He did good for Kehrer and Trap though. Draxler should move to a new club, he surely can't compete with Naymar and Latin Co.
your forgetting Hofmann and Waldschmidt. add all competition Muller 12 goals and 13 assists 28 games Stindl 12 goals and 9 assists in 26 games what's dumb is how Reus was allowed to stick around when he's having bad season ever since he returned from all of his injury problems. Feels more about pity at this point, should consider retiring him post Euro, assuming he makes squad.
Yeahh man Seriously , especially that Sane, Werner, Brandt and Gnabry are not yet on top form as well as Reus. Should really think of The other 4 mentioned above as well. If we would need to choose 8 attacking players for the Euros (would exclude the DM) Muller Stindl Werner Havertz Hoffmann Waldschmidt Sane Gnabry that would mean Draxler, Brandt and Reus would not make it. and 4 DM .... Kimmich(can play LB), Neuhaus, Gorestka , Kroos and Gundo
So With Tuchel at Chelsea i guess Low will keep his job for now.... Only chance we have is that with recent development at Liverpool , Klopp might be available earlier.... I have read in English media he is becoming a big moaner
