Miazga isn't slow.

Long hasnt regressed in 2020 for usmnt national team for two reasons. He only played the January camp game and the blowout of El Salvador. The real reason is he has never played well for the US. He has been poor, a weak link in possession, and made many mistakes leading to goals. You either don't understand defending or can't see with your MLS glasses. This level is too much for him. You can see the mistakes against Venezuela, Mexico, Mexico, Uruguay, and Canada in this thread.

I think that Colombia fixture is for the WNT.

 

Plans remain in place for USMNT to culminate training camp with a friendly late this month in Orlando, but Serbia won't be the opponent. That deal never crossed the finish line, contrary to some reports. USSF continues to work on an opponent and date. Agreement seems likely.

Those guys are sure having fun. Good video to get just a brief insight into the camp. Some folks might pooh pooh what's in the video (mystery points, for example) but that's a really good team-building exercise. Healthy competition that doesn't denigrate your teammates.

The Florida national team led by Florida Man and Bathsalts Homelessguy is geared up and ready to murder somebody.

 

Probably the best match they can get at this point is to split the combined pool in half and play 90 minutes against one another. Compared to the last friendly it would be way better.

I understand it is preferred to play an international opponent, but intrasquad is better than most Caribbean opponents.

Also, are the 23s supposed to play Canada?

 

I would pay real American money to see a full team intrasquad. They could do it by age or league, I don't care. It would probably be a really clean, fun game. Americas vs Europe would definitely get us nerds excited.

J. Lewis looks dangerous in these highlights. It makes you understand why he's hanging around.

He's the short guy at about 6 seconds. He's the only short, stout guy with that hair and skin tone in the video. Sometimes he has on a light blue penny too.

 

Just put U-23s against the seniors and have them at it 10 games in two months.

 

It requires consistency in pass accuracy, though, and no panicking with the first touch.
