Eh, I would’ve done things differently with CHO, but he hasn’t proven anything at the senior level the way pulisic did at Dortmund, and last year for Chelsea. I think he’s been a victim of Chelsea simply not giving youth players a chance because they buy so many high profile guys.

Yes, I agree to some extent that Ziyech, Werner and Havertz will get many chances since so much money was spent.

My youngest son and I are both wearing our Chelsea Unis... I am super excited. The only bummer is that I have begun to really root for Fulham since AR took over at LB. I really hope CP scores and Chelsea wins.... but I also want AR to have a good game. Most of the time AR will be going up against Ziyech.... that is a tough opponent.... but I could see AR make several plays against Kova and Azpi.

As a FB, I wouldn't be too worry about Ziyech. All he does is whipped in crosses.

I would fear a guy like Pulisic who would drive the ball past me repeatedly and make me look like a Sunday rec league footballer.

Puli and Giroud are starting because Frank knows he needs results ASAP and his job is on the line.

This should tell you who Frank has most confidence in.

Who has? Has CP? Honestly? This is not the metric for young, growing players, that's the last box to tick.

CHO is being talked about because he's outperforming CP by a number of per90 metrics. Not this season... over the last 2 seasons.
But that doesn't take away from what CP does, who unsurprisingly outperforms CHO in areas in which he performs best.

    Yeah. Look into it.

I don't disagree. You said "consistent". He hasn't even been consistently healthy, let alone "consistently" great against top clubs.

Over how many total minutes? Against what sides? Cup games? League games?

I usually just look in the league, that's what this match and today's result pertains to. "What sides", whichever ones he was available for and played against since last August. Which wasn't that many, obviously... but that is what it is. He was available less than CP, who we all know also missed time, so it's small sample size compared to smaller sample size... but you can only perform when you play. And when he played league minutes, he outperformed CP in a number of metrics.

I'm stating facts, for the most part. You've made it clear how you feel about those, since they get in the way of your obvious and overwhelming bias.

    This looks boring.

Nothing but side way and back passes.

No one this team finish top 6 like this.

He's annoying. His positioning is not good in this match so far, for me. But maybe it's because they are trying to give CP that left wing, give him some space.

Should go to the PBP thread, btw. Just fyi.

Very poor IMO. Worst half of the season. Might be pulled at the half. If not... he better show a lot more or it is Werner or CHO. Where is the post-covid CP? I don't get it.

Let's hope CP wakes up the second half....he looks asleep out there.

Also, they can stop passing thru the sideline..attack thru the middle.
