Yeah, maybe. But this is also likely to be knee jerk, shitty reporting, or just run of the mill social media crap that someone posts and gets amplified (like the guy who'll forever go down as the dude who tazed his balls to death while trying to steal a painting, but who we found out later seems to have just keeled over from a heart attack outside on the Mall). In the NY Times yesterday, there was a story about staffers moving out of the White House, that mentioned a van from a local antique dealer that was there collecting items they'd provided for this administration. So was the guy wearing the grey outfit (kinda odd clothing for a WH staffer, don't you think?) someone from the WH, just stealing a bust of Honest Abe in broad daylight, or a staffer or curator from an antique dealer (or some other entity, like the Smithsonian) retrieving loaned historical antiques or art as part of the move out? I saw another blurry image of a woman loading something (it seemed to have a bird in top) into the back of her car that - the tweet implied - looked rather sketchy. But that same article mentioned the wife of some Trump appointee being at the WH who'd been seen removing her husband's stuffed pheasant. So, yeah, maybe Trump staff are pillaging the White House. It fits the narrative. But I'm guessing, other than WH stationary, pens and similar trinkets, for the most part, these stories are bullshit.
29% approval. While this means that 71% of Americans don't approve of Donald Trump, it also means that 29% of Americans approve of terrorism as long as Republicans are committing it against the United States Congress in the name of perpetuating Christian supremacy and white supremacy. https://t.co/Chmgw8RER2— Patrick Dark 🏳️🌈 🇹🇼 🇲🇲 🇺🇦 (@patr_darkangel) January 15, 2021 29% of Americans think 400,000 deaths from COVID-19 and inciting a riot at the Capitol is worthy of their approval. That is insane.— BrooklynDad_Defiant!☮️ (@mmpadellan) January 15, 2021 1350106627790303233 is not a valid tweet id why so high? because 60% of republicans are deplorable. When Donald Trump said that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose a vote, he wasn't that far off.Even after inciting a riot at the US Capitol, 60% of Republicans still approve of Donald Trump. That 60% is not going to just return to normal once Trump leaves the WH. pic.twitter.com/Fa0uHsgO0g— The Darkest Timeline Numbersmuncher (@NumbersMuncher) January 15, 2021
The guy taking all the photos, including Mao and Putin and portraits was Navaro. Was he hired as a mover? Curious!
29% is within the MOE of 27%. Which allows me to bring up the GOAT of blog posts. https://kfmonkey.blogspot.com/2005/10/lunch-discussions-145-crazification.html
Alex Azar has resigned (and just in time!) He starts the letter with all of the accomplishments of HHS during his tenure, leaving out 400,000 dead Americans. Then he writes this. ""Unfortunately, the actions and rhetoric following the election, especially during this past week, threaten to tarnish these and other historic legacies of this Administration," Azar wrote in the letter." Civil wars don’t count? this line would probably hit different if there hadn't been a violent coup attempt earlier this month ... pic.twitter.com/gZZaGhJNQ2— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 17, 2021
One more bit of shittiness from this guy before he leaves office. Here in my home county (Whitman in WA) we had some truly devastating wildfires in early September in which a couple of small towns were 90%+ destroyed. As is appropriate, Governor Jay Inslee asked for a federal disaster declaration to free up funds for clean up and rebuild. Inslee doesn't like Trump; Trump doesn't like Inslee. But a governor and a president feuding has never impacted federal aid before, and for four months, Trump has refused to act on the aid request. Even a no would be useful because other kinds of aid being available depend on a denial of the funding request, so the good people of a little place like Malden (which voted 67% for Trump) sit and wait. This was covered in some detail in a cover story in today's Spokane Spokesman-Review.
C'mon - you don't miss another tweet saying "this Jay Inslee's a horrible governor...didn't sweep the forest floors...rains so much up there I have no idea how they had forest fires to begin with, amirite?"
Is everyone fine with paying millions of dollars annually in pension, office, staff and other expenses for an ex-President who may still be plotting to take down our democracy?— Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC) January 17, 2021 there's no 'if' he's going to continue his war on democracy
Something fishy is going on: 70 hours left in the Trump presidency -- why is this happening? https://t.co/Mf2rpgY1SV— Glenn Kessler (@GlennKesslerWP) January 17, 2021 Under pressure from Trump White House, Acting Secretary of Defense has ordered NSA to “immediately” install Republican party ex-operative (and Devin Nunes ex-aide) as NSA general counsel, reports Washington Post. With less than four days to go of Trump’s Presidency? He did this with Whitmer, as well. Referring her as, "That woman from Michigan" which should tell you everything. She trolled Trump on The Daily Show later wearing a shirt that said, "That woman from Michigan." On a related note, it's quite telling that there are several GOP members who are scared of Trump and his loser base, yet Whitmer, who was targeted for a kidnapping plot, is still doing her thing.
Carl Bernstein was just on CNN destroying Trump. As good a description as I've heard. "A secessionist presidency similar to that of Jefferson Davis and the CSA. He's taken the government of America, the presidency of America, and taken it out of America and put it into another state. His state. The legacy of this has to be removed. We have to cleanse ourselves."
This is something I will have pleasure in keeping up on. I want to see a follow up on this every week. This attorney is about to make Donald Trump's life a living hell “When Donald Trump steps down as president of the United States following the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, he will be walking into what is expected to be a minefield of lawsuits and criminal investigations that will tie him up for years and likely dampen any thoughts he might have about running for president in 2024. "She is in many ways the ideal legal adversary to take on Trump," the report states. "Kaplan is a brash and original strategist, with neither a gift for patience nor silence, a crusader for underdogs who has won almost every legal accolade imaginable. Kaplan, says New York Democratic Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo in an email, 'has been indispensable in the fight against the cancer of hate and division that Trump spent four years exacerbating.'" In an interview, Kaplan stated, "My maternal grandmother always hated a bully. One really good job for going after bullies is to be a lawyer." https://www.rawstory.com/trump-legal-problems-2650010970/
The crowd is going to be bigger than Biden’s inauguration!!!! Among those who haven’t RSVP’ed for Trump’s sendoff (and aren’t expected to attend): VP Mike Pence, House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell and a whole slew of Republicans. Aides expect some MAGA super fans, though.— Jennifer Jacobs (@JenniferJJacobs) January 19, 2021
Trump's really cutting things close on the Hillary Clinton arrest - seems like he might have wanted to get started on that one a little earlier.
That's where you are wrong!!! According to QAnon, Biden and Trump performed a face exchange, ala John Travolta and Nick Cage in Face/Off, and the reason why so many Trump loyalists are declining to show up is because it's not actually Trump departing the capital, it is actually Biden. This is all part of Trump's plan to attack the international cabal of child predators and traffickers that have infiltrated the deep state. So when you see Trump being sued, investigated for criminal activity, and, perhaps, even convicted. It isn't Trump, it's actually going to be Biden who is going to jail. Side note... I desperately wish I just made that up, but it's actually a QAnon conspiracy that is being spread around....
We should feel proud of ourselves because we live in a nation that allows for people this stupid to make decent livings for themselves.
