Nice!!! Another one!!! He looks good. Those runs and finishes reminiscent of a young Raul.

If (and it’s a big if) we have money to spend we should count ourselves lucky that we actually have a legit choice between him and Kilyan. It’s almost impossible to choose now. I’ll be brutally honest. I don’t like the fact that Kilyan said no to us twice. Whatever the reasons or circumstances. That doesn’t sit right with me. Maybe a little immature. Anyway, if we can secure one of them we are solid. Cant let either get to Barcelona or something tho.

I see him doing exactly the same as Erling every weekend. Only difference is that he does it from the bench.

He's been infected by Neymar and the culture of absolute player power at PSG. He's at a fifth rate league. He carries a lot of weight at the club to the extent that I doubt anyone can tell him no or actually coach him.

Erling has his head on his shoulders. From day one anyone can see this especially in his interviews. The guy just wants to score goals and hasn't yet let fame pollute his mind. For those that say that he's not dynamic either, he can run, jump, finish from inside and outside the box and is so strong that he's difficult to bundle off the ball at the age of 20. He's cheaper too. If we're really all in on Vini and Rodrygo being our wide players, why not go for the player that's going to be able to play through the middle so that all three can facilitate each other?

It's absolutely a no brainer for me.

Mbappe has reached a higher level and the demands of him are much higher. It's an unfair comparison.

Agree with all of this. Some people don’t want to hear it because they’ve been fixated/expecting Mbappe for years. I posted back in 2017 that there’s no guarantee once Mbappe’s contract is up he is still going to be the hottest thing going in world football.

At the moment Haaland is the superior player and ticks all the boxes for us.

Haaland has been phenomenal at Dortmund. Demands on Mbappe is only higher because he plays for a team that dominates the league and is expected to be a CL contender with Neymar leading that team. Haaland on the other hand playing for a team that's more similar to Mbappe's Monaco in 2016-17, but has to fight against formidable Bayern for titles. Monaco beating 2016-17 PSG wasn't the same challenge. I'd say Bundesliga is a Top 3 league while Ligue 1 is clearly 5th.

I completely and totally disagree. Also, this has been arguably the worst Bayern in a while, and Dortmund still can't get a sniff at the title.

Mbappe is recordin +30 goal seasons and it's being painted as stagnation, while Haaland doesn't and it's being presented as him being magnificent.

Once Haaland joins a team that isn't treated like the favorite child (Dortmund are underachieving), and has to perform every minute every week, things will be balanced.

Whichever one might come to us, we'll need more than that for us to improve

I dunno, PSG not winning Ligue 1 in 2016-17 was pretty shocking! In any case, while the size of the challenge can be debated, Monaco actually fulfilled the challenge and at the same time made an impressive CL run. Haaland's Dortmund hasn't even come close to any of that.

We actually need them both. I don't understand this theme of picking one or the other.

I still believe Vinicius and Rodrygo will come good but it is obvious we need patience and time for them.

Haaland had a brace against PSG in round of 16 last year. Monaco had a lot of quality that season. Falcao was scoring well in 4-4-2, Lemar, Silva at the top of their game. Mendy, Bakayoko, Fabinho playing well. Still Juve managed to shut them down in semis. Dortmund doesn't have that level of squad balance imo and ended up meeting the CL finalists in round of 16.

Haaland has 25 goals in 25 Bundesliga games. That's really amazing and Bundesliga has always been a tougher league than Ligue 1. He was also scoring for fun in CL with Salzburg. Mbappe plays alongside one of the most creative players in Neymar and still hasn't progressed from his Monaco days imo.

Bundesliga better than Ligue 1? Perhaps. But not sure it is more difficult to score in.

50 goals in about 50 matches in Ligue 1 is amazing too for a ~20 year old.

Look at the Bundesliga goal getters past Lewandowski and tell me how many world class strikers you can find.

Not like the second best team in Ligue 1 has a quality striker like Haaland either. Mariano scored at a good rate in Ligue 1. Leave Bayern, PSG out and I'd say Dortmund, RB, Gladbach and Leverkusen are better than any team in Ligue 1.

Anyways, I do think RM needs to sign both as well in different summers.

“Takes on his man and creates space” is being very generous. His rightback made the space for him with that run. He basically had a free shot at goal once the fullback started the run.

Last play could have been a penalty easily. Bumped Kubo from the back using knee. Kubo cross also led to Getafe's penalty to make it 3-1.

Exactly what we all said about Kilyan when he broke through. I don’t see it as a no brainer to be honest. Kilyan is special, maybe his personality has changed from being a humble kid to a mega star World Cup winner but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We had another guy set records for us recently who had so called “attitude issues” especially in contrast with the little gnome in Barcelona.

If we had the resources we should get both and form the team around them. But if it’s only one I think Kilyan might still edge him a little bit just because he’s more proven on bigger stages. I’m a big fan of Halaand. I did a little digging about his early career a few months ago and find him to be a special kid with huge potential.

Getafe is a few points above the bottom of the table. Villareal is fighting for CL football.

    Ibisevic. Finboganson.

Those are the players you look at past Lewandowski.

Anything under CL glory and Mbappe failed. For Dortmund to be considered having a failed season people figure they'd have to drop out of the CL spots when in reality anything beyong the second spot is a failure.
