Schumer just said that if the Senate Sergeant at Arms hasn’t voluntarily left his position by Inauguration Day he will fire him.

Why would you wear your company badge to a demonstration?

Has anybody noticed that these two wildly different groups of people are beginning to look a lot alike?

The conservatives who showed up in Charlottesville looked like typical conservative s- fratboy/CEO hair, not many beards or goatees, polo-style shirts... basically, they looked like little Pences and Kavanaughs, with all their leftover dress codes from the 50s. Now, you got these bearded, tatted, long-haired guys who at first glance look trustworthy, and I guess I'm trying to figure out why they've gone so far out of their way not to appear like their stringpullers. Same for the guys who just look like regular guys- the ballcap/camo/goatee-wearing ones.

The dude in the Chewbacca bikini looks strange, but on appearance, I wouldn't imagine him to be a conservative. Why don't they embrace who they really are and get with the Father Knows Best look?

Bad question on my part. Anyone dumb enough to believe the election was stolen wouldn't be able to pick good versus bad time to wear a company badge.

    Hold the ******** up.

How is that video of the Trump Viewing Party not resulting in an immediate arrest and takedown of Trump and his crew there?

This is how we know Antifa isn't real. If Antifa was real they'd be dragging Trump and family out to guillotines right the ******** now.

Gary Player, Annika Sorenstam and Babe Didrickson Zaharias.

Didrickson is long-dead, and is alleged to have had a relationship outside her marriage with another woman. Player, I kind of understand. He was for apartheid until he was against it. Sorenstam? Given who and what Trump is, I'd think he'd have chosen Jan Stephenson.

    You're a dumba$$?

I mean, talk about entitlement. You have to be a special kind of stupid to think that you can violently break into the Capitol of the United States, take photos of yourself, wear your company badge, livestream the whole thing, and walk out of there a free person.

Wait, that's what they did. Except the one lady that got shot, and the other lady that got maced.

    When do the roundups begin?

If they don't, I guess I'm the niave one.

Capitol Police chief: Agency had ‘robust plan’ to deal with unrest; 14 arrested
U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven A. Sund made his first public remarks Thursday morning on his agency’s response to the riot, saying they had “a robust plan established” to deal with protesters. He did not acknowledge any deficiencies in the police performance, even after a mob stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Sund, who has been Capitol Police chief since 2019 after 25 years with D.C. police, also confirmed that Ashli Babbitt, 35, of San Diego, was shot and killed by a Capitol Police officer as rioters were nearing the House chamber.

Sund said, “The violent attack on the U.S. Capitol was unlike any I have ever experienced in my 30 years in law enforcement here in Washington, D.C.” He said Capitol Police “and our law enforcement partner responded valiantly when faced with thousands of individuals involved in violent riotous actions.”

Washington post paywall. Sund is on the same oversight committee as the Sergent-of-arms. The spin begins.

This guy should also be fired. Very soon.

Maybe they figured they could call in the other 1500 at a moment's notice since they were already there "protesting."

I assume there will be a bi-partisan commission formed to investigate this national security breach and propose new security measures. This is serious shit. And it could have been so much worse.

Even now...they’re going to have to throw away just about anything that was plugged in throughout the building. Sweep every room for bugs. There is no doubt that there were foreign spies in that mob.

I saw a tweet from my congresswoman which said Trump is inviting all these golf players because he wants to host PGA events at his golf courses.

Hopefully someone was smart enough to turn off the network connection to the buildings.. From what I've seen online, a lot of the people left their computers unlocked and logged in.

It's becoming obvious that - as willing as he is - Trump has no ********ing idea about how to plan an illegal takeover.

Rule number 1: You don't have a viewing party. You hide yourself and watch it in private, so nobody can say that you were involved with it.

Rule number 2: You don't give a morning speech inciting the rioters. You will have to denounce them later, so it's obviously counterproductive.

Rule number 3: You don't release a video thanking the rioters. If you must, you thank them in private, so later you can deny that you did so.

    What a ********ing moron!
