    Time to unpack.

The BLM protests had been largely peaceful and were very widespread across the country. They were also planned and organized.

The peacefulness of the protests got reduced usually when heavy-handed police presence occurred. In the case of DC, that was agitated by the White House. And it is known that the people in the WH are racist.

But yesterday? That was also planned and organized. And over the past several years, many of those protest/gather in favor of the President (and his ideas) have become very violent without police presence. And the rhetoric coming from the WH, the one who called for this gathering to take place, was indicating violence. The signs were there.

Now, the question is not whether the military should have shown. As I said earlier, that comparative picture is not correctly contextualized. The question is why the Capitol Police were not prepared for this? If they were serious about their job protecting the members of Congress, there is no ********ing way the insurrectionists would have reached the steps, let alone breached the building. But the issue is one, not of response, but of protection.

And you also are COMPLETELY ignoring the race aspect of the protestors.

It was also pretty telling that the security inside the building thought it was a possible terrorist attack. And ultimately, that is what it was.

    I'm even further behind!

The origin of the claim that he is "antifa" is because he also attends BLM protests to own the libs. One of the Proud Boys sympathizers found a picture of him that a journalist took that had him standing in front of a barrier and in the background was a group of protestors with a BLM banner. The thing is, the sympathizer cropped the picture to remove the sign the Q Shaman was carrying.. Why would they crop it out? Because the sign he was carrying said "Q was here", which, as we all know, is a Pro-Trump movement and has nothing to do with BLM.

DC Metro don't have jurisdiction on federal grounds do they? Can they enter the grounds without permission from Capital Police? It sounds like capital police didn't activate their inter-department agreements until after everything went to poop?

I was on TikTok last night and someone commented that he had no idea how the Gravy Seals would be able to overthrow the US government when three of them died from heart attacks walking up the Capitol Building's stairs...

I am so proud of my Rep, Jamie Raskin. The dude just lost his 25 yr old son and he is on the Hill drafting articles of impeachment.

Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), Rep. Jaime Raskin (D-MD) and Rep. Ted Liu (D-CA) are circulating Articles of Impeachment to remove President Trump from office following yesterday’s attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Exactly. Congress is federal ground and DC MP can't step foot there w/out an express request from US CP (US Capitol Police). Apparently the inter departments agreement and coordination was not activated either.
The US CP has a 2000 members force...500 were on duty. Does not make any sense.

They weren't locked down in their offices. All of the Congresscritters were in a secure room in the basement of the building.

You know how one of the requests from the BLM movement is that police that are removed from one force are added to a national database so they can't just move over a county or two and get hired by others? I think we have some initial members of said list.

Why was Ilhan Omar talking about articles of impeachment when the House was adjourning?

If they're adjourned, how can this matter? I'm lost.

From my understanding, the House is still active. Congress people are on the Hill. I saw a few of them today being interviewed from their offices.

Just because they are adjourned, it doesn't mean they can't reconvene.

Not necessarily. The way right way to do it is by organizing riots and then blaming them on the opposition, and sending the military to "restore order". Of course, constitutional rights need to be temporarily suspended until order is restored.

Where I come from, it was called a "Process of National Reorganization".
