Hazard on for Reyna 83' - and it's about time this one just ends. Can't believe Dortmund doesn't deserve more goals against Eintracht Braunschweig.
Everything I said in the Sargent thread applies here to Moukako. It's generally easiest for younger players to thrive the wider they are. It's hard for young players to come through at GK, CD, CM, and ST/CF.
From what of seen of Moukoko I would have a hard time drawing any similarities to Sargent outside of the obvious ones.
Playing soccer in Germany, lol. Moukoko seems like he's doing the right things just a half step too slow. He needs time to acclimate to the speed of the league. On the otherhand Josh (imo) needs to learn how to move off the ball and become goal dangerous. I really wish he went to the Netherlands instead of Werder. I think he could use a couple of years in a lower league learning his craft.
Six games in January - not too bad, Juventus has eight - but there's a tight stretch in the middle (16/19/22) that will likely require some squad rotation.
Dortmund v Wolfsburg is coming up soon, @ 9:30 AM eastern. Haaland is back; Moukoko and Hazard are out; a Reyna start seems likely. Here's a pithy preview: "Haaland missed Dortmund's final seven competitive fixtures of 2020 with a torn hamstring, but recently returned to training after undergoing a successful rehabilitation programme in Qatar. Interim coach Edin Terzic has described his 10-goal Bundesliga top scorer as "on schedule", and is expected to name the 2020 Golden Boy in his starting line-up for the first time. Haaland's return is timely, especially with Youssoufa Moukoko - who made history as the Bundesliga's youngest scorer in the 2-1 loss to Union Berlin - ruled out through injury. Winger Thorgan Hazard is another confirmed absentee, but right-back Thomas Meunier, midfield pair Emre Can and Axel Witsel, and captain Marco Reus are all expected to be rotated back in following Dortmund's 2-0 DFB Cup second-round win over Eintracht Braunschweig. BVB begin the year in fifth place, eight points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich, and on a run of three straight home defeats in the league." https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bunde...line-ups-stats-haaland-moukoko-weghorst-14116
Starts... 🚨 BVB STARTING XI VS. WOLFSBURG 🚨 pic.twitter.com/0HP1RmtZjM— Borussia Dortmund (@BlackYellow) January 3, 2021
Dortmund's d just makes me sweat when they have the ball. Expect alot of pressure on them from Wolfsburg and potentially a turnover from BVB d. Also for the love of God, tell me how sancho is worth 60 million € w/o English passport
This game on TV looks like a bunch of lemon and lime skittles running all over the place. The contrast is awful with those kits.
