Not being funny but what is the source? Discipline weak? He’s only had 3 yellow cards and not one red. I would dispute defensive contribution also, he works extremely hard as a forward and his press is good and not to mention his defensive contribution on set plays.

The top four are all playing in front threes most of the time though, so they're not really what you could call midfielders.

Barnes has a lot of defensive responsibilities he’s not just standing up front he is very much a traditional winger in that sense

The same site has Harry Kane with a weakness of Passing, but a strength of Key Passes. Make of that what you will.

Well that’s right in a way as his key pass assists thus season have been remarkable

They have been excellent but his passing is a weakness according to Whoscored?!?! It literally doesn’t make any sense.

It’s all opinion I guess .. he’s a forward really who’s developed his game where he’s dropping back and creating assists with some great through balls .. they’re classing those assists as key passes.
Other than those assists though his first thought is generally speaking to make room for a shot at goal so he’s not a prolific passer stats-wise like most midfielders will be

It’s whoscored. It’s a good site for basic stats but the algorithm that determines strengths and weaknesses has its limitations. Generally it’s good for attacking players but more wide forwards than centre forwards. It’s has lots of blind spots, in the case of a player like DCL it is limited in measuring his hold up play and how he physically battles defenders etc. It pretty much exclusively favours on the ball actions so any off the ball strengths or work rate are completely absent.

A player can be an average passer but a strong key passer on it. Key passes are a pass that results in an attempt on goal. If a player is just good at corners they can be a strong key passer but they may misplace too passes compared to the average in general play. The strengths and weaknesses are fluid and can be representative of form rather than anything permanent. Kane’s general passing might have been weak for 4 games and that triggered the algorithm, look back in 2 months and it might be completely different.

Tito Potato might be disconcerted to learn that going off whoscored’s strengths and weaknesses at this moment then Foden is better than Grealish.

That’s more or less what I’ve already explained...

Maybe it’s time to have a look at yourself if you have to resort to name calling ...

Have to agree with Tito here, it’s fine to not agree with him or even dislike what he says but can we leave out the name calling and ridiculing him. I think we’re all better than that! I’ve been guilty as any in the past of being overly aggressive at times on these threads, so as a New Years resolution, I will also be better.

Ps: I can’t promise I won’t bite if some random guys come in here on the wind up though :whistling:

It is a bit strange that given the shortage of good English goalkeepers, Karl Darlow's name was never mentioned as a possible contender. He's been fantastic this season.

Doesn’t seem like he’s interested though, declined them twice so far but he’s 30 now so I guess it’s now or never if he wants to play International football but he should be in for a shout with us along with McCarthy imo. Don’t really see how Southgate can keep picking Henderson if he continues to be understudy to De Gea.

Thank you for the kind words and for being so reasonable .. there are a few decent guys in here but they appear to be in the minority.

I think it’s time I moved on from here tbh

Life is too short and stressful to waste time with those other dikwads

    Regards

I guess Tito has gone otherwise I’m sure he would have commented that Grealish was the best player on the pitch in that Utd v Villa game and to be honest, I would totally agree with him he was the best player on the pitch and it wasn’t even close imo.

He sees passes only top players can see. I would rather have him than Bruno fernandes
