It froze again for another couple of minutes but it is back. This is odd. Must be directly from On Site BEIN

David’s poor play should really open up a spot for Weah up top.

I think Weah's good play should be what opens up a spot. He's been incredibly productive lately.

Commentator called him a Spectator in the 1st half. He is in the midst of a terrible run of play. 2 goals in 1400 minutes of play across all comps. What makes it strange is that everyone else for Lille seems to be scoring.

Bummer, just had a clear look at a far post shot or assist to Ikone and he put it too close to the keeper.

David showed up! Draws a penalty and a yellow after a sweet pass from Ikone and gets taken down by the defender while executing a cutback for an open shot or feed to Weah who was chasing the attack. Ikone makes the penalty and first place is saved for the moment...

Not after that bicycle kick. What a goal. Weah looked tired and needed to be pulled IMO. It was a bummer that David couldn't keep his feet on the PK because Weah would have had a sitter with an easy layoff. David gets the transfermarkt assist anyways to pad his lowly stats. Also bummed Weah couldn't do better with that chance he had wide left on the counter. Look like he got caught between a shot or a pass and it ended up being terrible. But all in all... a very positive sign to get the start and score.

Lol... they just pulled it back. I turned it off after Weah left to watch Uly.

That was a pretty Jordan Morris-esque goal. Where's the posts about how he tried too hard to avoid finishing with his left foot? :)

It's also the kind of goal that makes Weah look like a potentially good option up top for the US.

Timo's off the ball movement is part of what makes him such a dangerous player. That diagonal run started way up the right wing, and he crossed over and the LB passed him on to a CB who didn't see him...pass, touch, score before they knew what happened. Sweet stuff.

Didn't see much else, but hope he put in a good shift.

he looked good to me during his time. Shift is an English cliché we don't use here in the USA so I hope you are English..

One New Yorker is playing better than the other New Yorker. Or more specifically... one Brooklynite is playing better than the other Brooklynite. Our Brooklynite has more goals in less minutes played. i like our Brooklynite with a famous father.

Lille coach seems to have no problem mixing and matching forward positions with midfield. I thought Ikone was a midfielder but he was up top today with Weah at midfield (according to ESPN, I only saw the last 30 minutes of the match).

LOL ask the guy delivering all those Amazon boxes to your house this month what "shift" means to him! I'll accept "sixes and sevens" or "surplus to requirements" as limey crap, but I stand firm on shift.

There’s really no need to police people’s speech like this. You’re free to dislike affected Britishisms (I certainly do) but there’s no need to tell people they can’t use them.

Bruce is to speech as the BTK Killer was to lawn height in his neighborhood. The difference is BTK's lawn was impeccable, while Bruce's speech more on the opposite side of the spectrum. So he just has the frequently being a jerk part down.

One of the cool things about the US is that people can use the word “shift” whenever they want.
