This isn’t fantasy football mate. Experience and continuity matter.

There are only two ways that Walker isn't in the final squad - injury or Southgate decides to move to a back four at the last minute. He's a nailed on starter in the current formation.

Even if it’s a back four he should be in the Squad imo.

Yeah I just don't like Walker in the team. So many mistakes over the years, still gets picked.

Agreed, crazy thing is he did it at the World Cup and then we moved on, qualified spectacularly for the euros and now we are going back to it..

Walker is still a good player. I would worry when we are going back to players like lingard young and livermoore

Ashley Young is 35. We'd turn to him in an absolute crisis.

He had a pretty decent world cup anyway Rover.

Ashley Young is still playing regularly for a rejuvenated Inter Milan

Trippier banned for 2 and a half months. Ridiculous. He will lose his place with atleti. Get dropped from the England squad. Basically a death knell for his atleti career as they will likely bring someone in. A heavy fine would have sufficed

Why would it be the end of his career there???

No different from a 3 month injury, better in fact as he can keep training fully.

I rate Young and he has been good for Inter. By time of Euros he'll be pushing 36 and likely 4/5 choice at best currently, so I can only see him being called up in a crisis.

Exactly my point. No doubt they will have to go into the transfer market to replace him

Because no doubt they will enter the transfer market and possibly bring in someone who will do well. I might have overreacted in terms of death knell comment but he could struggle to get back in

you're assuming they have the money to buy someone better rather than a stop gap

Why wouldn't they just play Vrsaljko?

Is this a FIFA/UEFA backed ban? Does the FA have any jurisdiction to influence if he gets a ten week ban playing in Spain if it’s just an FA ban?

FA asked FIFA to make it a global ban which they have done

A heavy fine would have surficed in my opinion. How long will it take him to get match fitness when he returns? Surely he will be out of the qualifiers if he's not match fit

Sad to see Greenwood so ineffective these days. Last season he was immense. I really thought he would kick on this season. Hope he doesn't turn out a busted flush like so many 'wonder kids'
