Will the Danish offseason be such this winter that it would allow USMNT players like Sabbi to attend Camp Cupcake?

His stretch of good form seems to be over now. Four games without scoring, and today was the first man replaced.

Is there even going to be a CC beyond the one happening right now?

I love the way Sabbi plays. He has that Dempsey "I'm just gonna try shit" mentality. But he's not all glitz and glam. He makes very smart and direct runs and his passing is underappreciated. I like that he finds that balance of beating a player off the dribble and making a nice pass in behind the defense. It keeps those defenders guessing. The Odense move has been a success. Hopefully, while on winter break, he can find himself in the USMNT camp.

Good game thus far. FCK up 1-0 after a fantastic little chip inside the 18. Sabbi active and causing issues but can’t quite get on the same page with OB’a forwards. Sabbi had a good opportunity to level the score after some fancy footwork at the box but the shit was about a foot wide.

1-1. OB equalized in the 65th min. Sabbi pressures a defender got the ball and took on 3 defenders on the end line , did amazing well to dance around them, hit a shot across the face of goal which the GK did well to deflect but the ball fell to an OB attacker to bury the rebound. Awesome work by Sabbi to create that goal. Sabbi has been lively this half after a so-so 1st half.

I’m watching late and I don’t see Sabbi being super involved. Maybe he is tired? He often gets subbed out before this.

    Insert facepalm emoji here.

Sabbi wins a free kick and takes it himself. It’s not too bad and gets deflects out to an OB player completely open with time and space at the wedge of the box. Instead of settling, he goes for a volley and blasts it way over.

Sabbi was in and out of the match. He couldn’t quite get it going. He had a couple of good moments highlighted by the goal he created but otherwise it was pretty average. Commentators were more complimentary that I was. Decent result on the road for OB. But doesn’t help them climb the table.

That was a theme today. Sabbi had a couple of those moments where he whipped in a pass and OB muffed the opportunity. There were also a couple of instances were Sabbi dribbled too much and his pocket was picked by a defender.

Well, winter has come, and the next important game for OB Odense and Sabbi will be at home against the bottom-dwellers Lyngby 3. February 2021.

Superliga standings, with 9 rounds to go before they either end up in a Championship or relegation group stage :

It's interesting that Sabbi, besides free kicks, is now also doing some of the long throw-in's into the box, which is something that has extra high priority in the Danish Superliga (as earlier mentioned in the Haji Wright thread) :

@Ceres how do you think Sabbi might perform for USMNT?
