It looks like there's 3 injury-related selection questions right now: - will Ali be deemed fit? - is Jota injured? [edit: just saw cap's post on the injury thread ... so looks like we won't be seeing Jota tomorrow. OK with me, if that means he's available for the Spurs game] - is this the game we finally see Ox get onto the pitch?
https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php Maybe Ox, but maybe not. Jota is out. Millie is out. Becker is a maybe. I think Kelleher is OK for Fulham. I can see CJ et Co getting a lot of minutes.
Expecting: GK? TAA ... Matip ... Fabinho ... Robertson Keita/Jones ... Henderson ... Wijnaldum Salah ... Firmino ... Mane Subs: GK?, Phillips, N Williams, Keita/Jones, OxC, Minamino, Origi
This looks about right, but I think Trent starts on the bench and Neco starts. I think the thinking was starting him Wednesday instead of this one and would be a better way to build up his fitness for Spurs. I also think Alisson should be fine since he is back in training.
And that isn't such a bad thing at all. I've already noticed that Jones's playing with some kind of swagger. The coaches have also commented on his constantly asking about areas in which he can improve and which different things (from the other midfielders) he could bring to the team.
Alisson Becker starts and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is named on the bench for Liverpool’s Premier League fixture with Fulham this afternoon. After missing the Reds’ last three matches due to a hamstring injury, Alisson is restored in goal for the champions at Craven Cottage. Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain is included in a squad for the first time this season after being sidelined with a knee issue sustained in August. Liverpool are without Diogo Jota due to a knee injury picked up in midweek against FC Midtjylland. Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Jones, Mane, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Kelleher, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Origi, Phillips, Cain, N. Williams.
Another weird play - the ball was definitely out - but th ref let them play and next thing Fulham having a shot.
