I can live with that nepotism. Maturana and Bolillo both used their influence to be appointed as NT coaches when they were past their expiration date. Tell me which malpractice was more sinister.

Queiroz was bad for us, but at least all his problems were related with his coaching and in how he failed to implement a good tactic....also is to aprreciate thay he understood that he had to go and didnt try to keep in charge and black mail FCF if he got fired

I hope we dont repeat episodes with pintos bolillos chiquis...that beside they were medioxre coaches had terrible ethics

    Agreed.

I think the whole talk of identity and DNA is just a bunch buzz words that intend to harken support for different conservative ideals: bring back old coaches, play your veterans, call up more guys from the local league, or stop idealizing anything that comes from the exterior.

It's the football equivalent of "make America great again." It's too vague to mean anything; but a certain group will cheer for it and another group will boo in fear of it, based on their own leanings.

A year ago all these journalists were talking about how Quieroz was making us play more "european," more "modern." It astonishes me that even former footballers (Rafael Robayo in an interview last week) are convinced that getting rid of Quieroz would be taking a step backward, getting rid of progress.

Colombian football doesn't progress because of this cyclical thinking. And while that's mainly a result of poor directors, the popular perception that allows all these people to still be employed is engendered by journalists. Most of whom repeat the same nonsense until it becomes "true."

It's unfortunate that 90% of sports journalism is intended for people who don't watch or who don't have time to watch sports.

Very true. We can also replace the word “sports” with “news” and that can accurately describe the US these past 4 years LOL

I mean I want something new and not to go back to the pass but management is just so incompetent that Rueda is the best we can ask for. I mean every team can think outside the box and it seems like our federation is like ok here are the 4 guys to pick from. If Junior wins the league maybe the next coach is Perea.... so get Rueda already haha

yup, its that weird patriotism thing that all the old guys obsess over for no reason. A bunch of bull crap, like the people who get pissed when they hire foreign managers who talk about calling up nationalized players etc. Its an old school way of thinking

when they said has to be Colombian only 2 legit realistic not bad shit crazy options are Rueda or Osorio. If Osorio didn’t do as bad as he did with Nacional he probably be our coach.

the other options were keeping me
    Up at night

al was ********ed up with queiroz...they didnt consider in any moment the style of play of Queiroz...only his experience....

The sad part about colombian coaches is that there other with better results than pinto, bolillo and the onles that always are in the radar but they arent friends of the press....

for exampole is a fact that gamero is better than bolillo, alexis and suarez.

Also Nacional and Millonarios in recent years have brought coaches wih higher profile than Colombia National team gets..
